23 RepliesIve got a better idea double the damage of each burn tick and half the time it lasts. Same damage but youre not out for 18 seconds.

3 RepliesSee, this is where you're wrong. Instead of completely removing the perk, let's address the issue. Firebolts burn too long. How do you fix this problem? Increase the damage, but reduce the burn time. This will make the grenade do the same damage, but in a shorter time. Sort of like condensing.

Make it like Thorn 2 damage for 3 seconds. It will show Bungie how bad the messed up with Thorn

2 RepliesWhy don't you run full recovery and stop whingeing about a grenade which can't 1 shot kill and any smart guardian can jump to avoid them. They are the weakest grenade to the smartest guardian... Git gud

2 RepliesJust make them do 170 damage instantly and I'd be fine with it. In the time I'm waiting for my health to regen the warlock already has more than half of his grenade charged.

Can we all just agree a fair compromise would be to reduce burn time but keep the same total damage? Seeing how most people complain about the duration and their damage was already nerfed a while back.

Sunsingers must use 2 perk slots in their subclass in order to make guardians "feel the burn". There is no exotic that provides an additional firebolt grenade (unlike titans and hunters - lightning and tripmine). Yes, there is voidfang vestment, but that's spawn with grenade...so death has to happen. Nerfing anything more on that class would render it useless. Grenades and melee are what the class is centered around. I main a warlock sunsinger. Been around since alpha, and you know what kills me more? The ever-reaching pulse grenade and pesky tripmines. I don't know what everyone else's strategy is, but there are situations [b]you should just know[/b] to expect incoming grenades. I rarely die from firebolt burn. If you're in Trials and you see a sunsinger with firebolt setup, don't bunch up, plain and simple.

Burn for twice as much damage for half as long. It's not the damage that's the problem, it's how long it makes you 1-2 shot.
