"Smart loot system" sure it is...
What happened to the "this game will try to give you gear you don't already have" thing?
Out of 9 exotic primaries, I have gotten 5 Hawkmoons and 4 Hardlights. That's it. I can't seem to get any gear that I don't have anymore.
I'm still missing Y2 MIDA, Red Death, and a couple other primaries this game just won't give me.
Something seems a bit wrong here.
PS. For specials I've gotten 4 Telestos.
Still missing Plan C, Invective, and a few others.
This games "Smart loot system" is crap.

The Destiny Loot System has always been, will always be crap. RNG is just a giant mandingo gangbang. the loot system will always be a broken giant middle finger until they get rid of RNG. two days i grinded in the crucible on my hunter and titan for quests and bounties. easily, 12 hours. not. one. single. legendary.

Agreed. I've been trying to boost my light for two weeks. I have gone up one point each week. All the exotics I get are doubles of hard light and dragons breath. I finally got a plan c, at least that's different. No matter what I do, raids, strikes, crucible, it seems like all my drops are 20-30 points lower than my light. Even my vanguard and FWC packages have been crap. Love this game, but getting very frustrated.

None of my specials turned into Zen Metoer yet and I have every other special. It also took like 5 months to get a jade rabbit and I got duplicates of basically every primary. Hawkmoon, Hardlight, Zhalo I got at least 5 times before Jade Rabbit.

This game is dying. Source: Shit content. Fix: RnG/Lag/Ban Cheaters/Longer Content/In-game Raid Party lobby-matchmaker/Buyable faction ships-shaders/Heroic strikes not being random/Nightfall Loot should drop higher than your light or max light. The list goes on.

"Smart loot" is referring how you are more likely to get gear 5 light lvls from your current light level. And I find it a lot better judging how i hit 335 the first week.

It doesn't matter what activity I am doing, I consistently get the "reward" I had previously gotten upon completion of the activity. In example: - Leveling up the house of judgement 4 times granted me 3 Stolen Pride's and 1 class item/ship. - 90% of my exotic engrams are boots/gauntlets. - Nightfall rewards this week Vanguard ghost, Vanguard ghost, and that's right you guessed it; Vanguard ghost. - Leveled up FWC with motes twice in which I got The Vacancy both times. - Leveled up the Vanguard for boots/gloves probably 75% of the time. - Sterling Treasure 99% of the time gives me spektar gloves/boots. - Countless other times where I receive the same loot back to back When I can predict what my loot is going to be from engrams/packages or whatever it may be, the loot system is freaking broken!
