There's no such thing as a "god roll weapon"
A good roll on any weapon is only dependent on how you play. What might be a good roll for one weapon could be a garbage roll for another player.
So why doesn't Bungievision just let us create the weapons and gear with the perks we actually want to use?
Because destiny relies on RNG to artificially increase game time and player engagement.

That's not entirely true. There are metas. The beat players play according to the meta. You can't (well a very very small % can play extremely competitive with other weapons), with other weapons or perks then the ones that are in the current meta. That also means perks. Meta is a thing and that's.

6 RepliesYes there is. A 'God rolled' shotgun wins against a shit rolled shotgun every time (assuming equal skill) Rolls make or break legendary weapons. If I had a better roll on my party crasher I would win way more engagements in pvp. Just the way it is.

They tried that, it didn't work.

They allowed re-rolling. First just for Iron Banner weapons. Then every House of Wolves legendary. The Crucible became the Hopscotch Pilgrim club.
