How do you feel about the current state of the Sunbreaker subclass? I know a lot of people say that it was over nerfed but let's think about it for a moment... 2 very good grenades in Fusion and Incendiary. Titan skating if you wish to play very aggressively or Catapult for a little extra evasion. Decent melee by Titan standards with good damage and damage over time. Melting point and thermal vent are great for PVE and Stoke the forge is very useful in PVP and even PVE when paired with cauterize. Hammer of Sol is still very good if aimed well and is almost always good for 2-3 kills and sometimes more. Explosive Pyre and Fleetfire can both be very useful in both PVE and PVP. Simmering flames can lead to an amazing neutral game if you are willing to hold onto your super for awhile. Cauterize is still an amazing perk. Even the full sunspot build has its place in PVE.... I guess I just don't understand all the complaining please fill me in on what makes the subclass not viable?

1 ReplyThe super was nerfed to shxt. The rest seems fine.
-
3 RepliesEverything but the super feels fine. In perfect competition with other new subclasses but I feel like the explosion range of the hammers is way to small.
-
4 RepliesMelee blows balls.we still have t Rex arms. Hammers are too inconsistent, tracking sucks and hit detection is "meh" Running hammers we die WAY too easy.I unload clips on storm callers and they laugh at me while killing me as I sit 4 stories above them, around corners and thru walls with there super.how can a warlock be stronger than a Titan???
-
1 ReplyI don't play hammers. Striker is my jam. The problem with hammers is that it's super easy to take the titan down. Like really easy. If I do run hammers I highly recommend staying back or a tiny bit further than midrange. Aim carefully and keep watching for snipers. I have no issues with the melee or grenades just the super itself but if you play a lot more carefully than when ttk first came out, it's still a deadly force. I have noticed supers across the board are not so super anymore anyway. I dunno if titans truly need a buff. Striker is where it's at anyway imo

It need buffs. Plain and simple. I actually had a few ideas for buffs but I need to get the link of my post. Would you like to see them?
-
19 Repliestitans are just mad that it is no longer a crutch super.
-
Let's remove tracking completely because it doesn't work.
-
I go merciless and relentless on my titan without even trying honestly. If anything it's too easy. Run simmering flames and fleet fire and suncharge. Too easy. Sunbreaker is balanced.
-
Neutral game is pretty good with Simmering Flames. Tracking needs to be fixed and/or explosions need to be a little bigger.
-
5 RepliesNades with Simmering Flames Super is lackluster needs .4% armor buff when activated. Melee is a waste of time.
-
2 RepliesI use it for PvP... I recommend using suncharge
-
I can't use it, and I main it. But so many people can use it really well! :[
-
1 ReplyI think they are still powerful. In my personal experience I have seen many sun bros wreck with it!

Edited by Heidegger: 5/4/2016 3:34:11 PMI find sunbreaker useful in everything except 3v3, where I personally find them weak. Striker •Shoulder charge can be use to push your titan skating to the next level. •Close gaps even faster(using method above) •Better super when it comes to shutting down roaming supers •Lightning grenades are really good for controlling territory •Unstoppable/max armor allows you to survive things most classes can't •Juggernaut is a shotgunner dream •Overload reduces melee cooldown aswell as hits for around 160-180, and has a chance to reset on hits. Sunbreaker •To push your neutral game to the next level you have to hold your super •By doing that you give up cauterize •Fleetfire is really good •Stoke the forge is useless, why have my melee come back in 25 seconds when there isn't anything special about it(Melting point is better for DoT and Thermal Vent has the potential to ohk low armor Guardians and creates a Sunspot) •Suncharge is love

I feel like sunbreakers got a buff in the April update
-
I love Sunbreaker! I usually get 3-4 kills with Hammer of Sol. The grenades are all good. Melee is nice. Titans as a whole feel fine where they are. #TitanPride

2 RepliesEdited by Syronck: 5/4/2016 4:10:49 AM*Presents you with your favorite kind of dessert* *Others complain that your dessert is too great, even though they have their favorite desserts as well* *Takes your dessert back and returns with your second favorite dessert* *You had a taste of your favorite, so you would much rather have that than your second one* *Constantly told to suck it up, that your second favorite is as good as your favorite, you just aren't eating it right* (Also think how you pour a drink, measured to be the exact same amount, into two different sized cups. The person with the smaller cup will complain that they didn't get the same amount as the person with the bigger cup. Maybe I have that backwards, I haven't been/dealt with young kids in a long time) *Forced to eat the second dessert knowing how delicious your favorite was, but unable to voice a complaint because others bitch at you for even daring to think your first was fine* That's the analogy I'll use. Personally, it isn't fun anymore and feels too weak. And I'm getting frustrated with Bungie for constantly forcing me to use it because X activity/bounty requires solar ability kills, or that's the most effective super to use on that class for said activity. I think they royally screwed up with even touching it, and so many people know it, but they have to put those bounties and activities out because its the only way to garner enough players using it to convince themselves that it's still good. That's my theory and what I'm sticking to. I wish I could just delete the subclass as a whole so I wouldn't have to even look at it anymore. I despise using it in its current state.
