I need to rant about this. Almost 2 years and it's really starting to tick me off.
This is [b]THE MOST[/b] [i]repulsive[/i] and truly [i]disgusting[/i] community [b]I've[/b] ever witnessed in a video game.
NO ONE has respect for one another. There is absolutely no integrity.
Everyone believe that they are the best of the best. Almost everyone I've seen has an elitist mentality.
People share an opinion and get completely bashed on by idiots who think they're the best. It's so distasteful.
That is all.

I've met a ton of people who were amazing people in Destiny. However, the number of these people has been diminishing. I'm a solo player nowadays because my clan quit, which requires me to come talk to people on the forums. I'd have no problem, but every time I want to join in on a convo, i see the hate someone with my similar opinion gets, which just refrains me from posting.

1 ReplyBuuuuuttttt Mooooooommmmmm, I am the bestest Guardian there ever was! Ok, seriously, how can you say that? There are probably 5 supportive, funny or nice replies to every 1 negative reply. I think we have a decent community, but we are the ones who allow the toxicity to survive by giving them the time to reply to their douchenozzlery (yes, I, too, am guilty of giving the little blighters a moment of my awesome presence). Try to ignore them & focus on the positive aspects of the forums.

If you think it's bad now, you should have been here during the Halo 3 days hoo boy lol. Or if you REALLY want to see a toxic community, go play League of Legends or CS Go - I promise you it'll make Destiny and Bungie.net look like a convent. That said, not everyone here is a jackass and I consider myself a loud and concerned member. Not everyone who "complains" is doing so because they're a spoiled brat. I do it because I still give a damn about this IP and what it could be as opposed to what it has been (particularly in comparison to the original E3 showing). Many fans of Destiny (including myself) still feel sleighted by Bungie and begrudgingly continue to support it in the hopes of seeing it blossom into something that'll make the industry weep with tears of joy and awe. Until that happens though (or the game just goes so far downhill I feel there's no hope) I'm not going anywhere, or shutting up because I have standards and a lot of fond memories of Halo.

I think there is so much hate in the community because there are the white knights who always defend Bungie regardless of their actions, the optimists who hope the game will fix itself over time, the nerfherders who complain about literally everything, the fallen angels (people who quit), and the men/women of logic who do lay down criticism, but are often constructive and actually do want to help the game succeed. Because we have such a hodgepodge of good and bad and the inability to agree on almost anything, it gives the community look bad.

Know what you mean, had a guy join to do trials bounties the other week, bounties, I made it very clear saying we were mainly going for the gold tier, so the guy gets his 7 games done and me and the other are on 6 and he leaves?! One game!! Messaged saying can he do one more to which he said I've got mine followed by some sub par trolling, he couldn't give the extra 5 mins to help us out, plus trying to get someone to just do one more game is not the easiest, we did finally get one from the tower so it's swings and roundabouts

Some people are just not worth the time, found this out a few times. Even had people have a go at me for my opinion but then I shut them down and they stop. Happened a few weeks back before the april update, i had 2 separate people berate because I stated that some members of the community act like entitled little brats expecting everything to be spoon feed particularly when it comes to the information that deej and cozmo can give regarding updates. They have timescales and plans that we are not privvy to as we are not the developers. Also they get limited on the information they can give by higher ups. The way I see it i try not to start an argument but I will finish it and also understand that some people won't agree with my opinion. Which is perfectly fine by me but it's not good to harass or berate people for opinions. It's a shame that some members of the community are so toxic nowadays, back in my halo days it was never this toxic, it had rough days but not outright hate or toxicity. If anyone has a go just fight your corner as I'm sure people would support you and so would I. I try to bring positive post but even them can get bogged down with hate. Try not to take it to heart bud. Have a great day and time on the forum though.

In LoL, someone told my dad to get cancer. lol Why? Bad K/D. Apparently cancer was necessary. The fact that they had to set up The Tribunal for LoL is pretty telling.

There is one section of the community that is great that I've experienced on Ifunny and through LFG, but then there are the forum dwellers... They are vile creatures. Everyone's opinion is wrong and everything that kills them warrants a nerf.

2 RepliesYou aren't wrong, the community here in the forums is truly toxic. While the people I meet in game are usually much more kind (every once in a blue moon I'll stop fighting in the crucible and just dance, or sit down. Sitting down usually captures their attention more as a non-threat, and it leads to a awesome dance party with the enemy team) but overall, Bungie has babied this community by literally listening to everything they say. I have to admit I'm curios about how many people on the forums actually play destiny now.

I feel your pain. There's nothing but a bunch of kids running around who think they're the shît because they finished first on their team. Adults dint do that. We know when to keep our mouths shut and pass the torch. If you're an adult and still do this, because you're top 1% in the game,good for you. Your can feel good about yourself but don't let it consume your attitude towards others. I've been having the best time playing IB . I don't always finish on top of the team, but whenever I do, I'm not gonna gloat about it, because I'll be eating those words next match. But about the community here, it stinks. All you read is I'm done with this shït,nerf shoulder charge, nerf snipers,I'm reporting all red bars, I'm reporting those who buy sterling treasure, titan masterrace,warlock masterrace,hunter masterrace, PS masterrace ect,ect. All this amuses me because you think bungie will listen to your bitching.they don't! The community manger's laughing at you. Nobody here has any power to dictate the mechanics in this game. Leave that to the grown ups okay?they know how to balance pvp. Okay, it's bananced.don't bitch about getting shoulder charged, I, myself, hate getting killed by that bullcrap,but I'm not gonna go onto the forums and complain about it, hoping it'll be fixed tomorrow. Titans are strong they're meant to be able to OHK you. Same with fusion grenades. I love throwing them at people, because they're a OHKer. To sum this all up, I suggest for you to stop bitching about everything, if you don't like what sombody has to say,don't say Oh I'm gonna mute you, just do it. Don't expect bungie to nerf somthing that killed you. It's pathetic how much crying I hear here. I know I missed a lot, but I think I got my point across.
