1 ReplyEver since I heard them screech I've called them witches. it wasn't until long after I realized they are called wizards and to this day have a hard time correcting myself. I go back and forth calling them either.

I almost exclusively call them Witches. It doesn't really make sense that they called them wizards, as they are ladies.

24 RepliesA lot of the naming conventions Bungie used don't make sense. Cabal are clearly based around the Roman Empire, yet it is the Vex who have Praetorians. Vex are clearly based around ancient greek mythology yet Goblins are from medieval times. Same applies to Hobgoblins. Minotaurs are from ancient greek mythology, but the Vex version lacks horns, which the Hobgoblins do have. Harpies are female and use their wiles to charm men, yet the Vex Harpies are not sexy at all. Hydra have multiple heads and are great serpents. Does the Vex Hydra have those characteristics? Nope. Hive Ogres act more like Cyclopes from ancient greek myth than the Vex version. Why Bungie decided to screw up the naming conventions is beyond me. They could have just called all the aliens by their own titles and it would have been fine.

me and my clan mates as well. Every once in a while I'll get corrected by some random during a raid but I call them as I see them.
