By putting the taken exclusive Archon Priest strike in the heroic strike playlist, you've effectively ruined the playlist.
Every strike I play, there's at least one person who leaves because they didn't get the strike they wanted.
Let us choose the year 2 version of the strike from the directory so those who want to farm it can do that without quitting from other strikes for hours on end and those of us who just want to play heroic strikes can.
Edit: I realise that this has been happening for a while and Bungie improving rep gains and Loot drop light level have made strikes significantly more rewarding than they were beforehand.
I'm just pointing out that putting a new version of a strike with its own exclusive Loot in a playlist with other strikes that people have played possibly hundreds of times isn't really the smartest idea.

8 RepliesI personally think that it should be like so: You would select the strike playlist. Before you press launch, you would press the "Select Strike" option, and pick the strike you want to do. Say you pick "Will of Crota." You would load into a group with other people wanting to do Will of Crota. (Why the hell would anybody want to?) Or, you could pick "Random" and load the strike playlist as you do currently.

1 ReplyEvery strike should be in every list....if someone leaves a strike within the first five minutes of joining they should be blocked from joining any activity for 5 minutes that will teach them...:if you want to do a specific strike then pick it from the planet

9 RepliesI just don't know why people leave on saber and omnigul. They are easy and are good strikes.
-
If they reduced the shield brothers, dark blade, and psion flayers I'll do it lol
-
Maybe if they would reduce omnigal people wouldn't quit. No one likes that strike and it's so frequent.
-
8 RepliesI had an omnigul strike. Would've got it done quick if I had teammates, but no. One team of two left. Another team of two left. One of two randoms left and I had to two man it with the random that stayed. If you leave a strike when it starts, you're trash

I swear every time i do the heroics it's always flayers or shield brothers, the "random" strike selection doesn't feel random at all

We need strike voting. We need a better punishment system (I still don't think the reporting system even foes anything). And Bungie needs to increase the odds of the archon priest strike appearing. It seems so rare now, plus if we had strike voting and you had already gotten the shotgun, you can vote no against the strike if it came up more often

Edited by Kana, Rogue Kobold: 4/21/2016 1:29:51 PMThis is why Bungie should have a system that punishes quitters. I recommended this on another thread. The punishment doesn't have to be severe, but rather an inconvenience. When you quit, your account is flagged until the next daily reset. For every activity you quit, you are marked and will be unable to access that type of activity again for 5 minutes. Every time you do it again after that instance adds another mark against you and doubles the time you can't play that kind of activity. For example: Someone really wants to play the taken winter's run. They quit a strike, earning a mark on their account that blocks them from playing strikes for 5 minutes. They wait it out, try again, and quit when it isn't the taken winter's run. Now they have to wait 10 minutes. This wouldn't prevent you from activity hopping (If you quit a strike, you can go play crucible. If you quit a strike and crucible, you can go play a raid) as each different kind of activity keeps a separate tally. This would result in self-policing because it is less annoying to finish the strike than it is to quit and move on. It wouldn't punish those who have to quit because of emergencies that pop up. Until then, we will have to suffer through quitters.

I haven't even played the new strike yet. Yesterday I went in the heroic strike and it was the undying mind (again!) and people were dropping out like crazy. Never got past the steps where all those yellow bar guys are. Someone would die then they would get out. Next guy dumps in, then he disappears. This happened over and over till I was the only one left, then I Just got out of it and went to play something else. So my point is....I agree with you, at least for now we should be able to pick it from a list and then later add it to the strike list.(or have it in the strike list now, but be able to pick it seperatly )

13 RepliesThree strike choices should come up after completing the first random one and let the fire team vote. If everyone votes for a different one just randomiZe from the whole playlist again
-
It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't so obvious that strike is on a lower inclusion rate. They've had to adjust the RNG on strike rotations before, needs to happen again.
-
1 ReplyThis has been happening long before Taken Archon Priest was introduced. People leave because they're assholes. Nothing else to it.
-
3 RepliesPeople would always leave. The inclusion of a new strike is not the cause of that. People just suck. Let's us vote on the next one, that'd be cool.
