I think this game would be 100X better if it were rated M. I know this will not happen because of financial reasons, but hear me out 1) ads would look twice as menacing/ terrifying 2) potentially give PvE a Gears of War feel when killing ads ... meaning more gore (if desired) 3) M rating means more potential meat to the story 4) Less whiney crucibabies constantly crying for nerfs 5) :LESS WHINEY CRUCIBABIES CRYING FOR UNECCESARY NERFS (seriously I'm getting tired of it) 6) characters would be 1000X funnier with adult dialogue 7) give bosses a kill function if you approach with low health (similar to dead space) 8) assassination function in crucible (similar to halo assassinations) I could go into a lot of detail but I really think this game would have some serious improvements if it were rated M and a lot less kids who, in my opinion, have ruined this game with constant complaints about subclasses and weapons

  • Making destiny 2 rated M isn't gonna make a difference dude, if it did, then we wouldn't have squeakers in call of duty

  • Funny thinks kids will stop playing destiny if rated my but will ultimately back fire and make it more enjoyable for the younger audience

  • Hahaha you think middle schoolers don't have their parents buy them M games that's cute. Go log into a BO3 lobby with open mics then come back here and eat crow.

  • It would be better, but it won't stop those idiot parents buying their children rated M games.

  • Changing the rating to M wont make a difference. If a parent won't stop to buy GTA for their kid, why wouldnt they buy a M rated destiny?

      • Nope. They've established a setting now. They ain't gunna change it. You think a game like mortal kombat will change so it's got less blood but nope. They just made the fatalities more brutal. Mario kart? Nope. It's a racing game still with all the mechanics still in tact. And that's just to name a few games with very noticeable key elements what make people think "oh it's this game". Like GTA and the signature killing random people, robbing cars etc. They ain't gunna change it drastically in just 2 games cause some games haven't even after 2 decades (look at Mario. The icon of gaming. He hasn't changed that much since the first game. More power ups, bit more development and diversity but they stayed almost identical)

        • ESRB is a -blam!-ing joke. Parents will always buy them the game. No matter what the rating, kids will still ask the parents for the game -.-

        • Yeah but giving a game an "M" rating doesn't help at all. Check CoD.

        • Number 5 won't happen, look at cod. Rated M, but half their player base is five year olds.

        • Shesmynerd isn't a child and he complains. Kids would play rated M too, otherwise the cod community wouldn't be too bad.

Dude it's a game. Don't be salty cause you have 11 year olds playing the game, they bought it cause they wanted to play it. Most parents are irresponsible anyways so they'll let their children buy an M rated game

        • What is the deal with you people? Is this just a humanity thing where we love placing blame on another classification of people. Warlock mains blame nerfs on hunter mains even though we didn't do anything. Now adults blame nerfs on kids? Truthfully I've seen my share of screaming kids on this game. But I've also heard grown men and actually one woman one time say they hate a gun and want it nerfed. I'm 18 and I don't see how you justify your whining. Its part of the game. Everything should be balanced. Instead of blaming it in other people and making petitions to do things to the game although they are never listened to, how about we just play the damn game we paid for the way we wanna play it instead of forcing ourselves to use the guns that the cool streamers use. ~G.R.S.

        • Yes. "You're going against the Taken God who wipes entire worlds and controls an entire species" *Get to fight* "Lmao this is it? This isn't scary or terrifying or anything of the sort" Sick of all this build up about how evil all the forces are in the game and when we meet them we laugh in their faces, like... Ugh... And for the love of god I want to see Cayde with a Deadpool sort of personality, I mean he's halfway there already, but nah... No swear words makes it not as fun

Will never happen. In buisness, T and E ratings are where the money is since younger players will have an easier time getting someone to buy the game for them. The reachable audience is simply far more vast. Unless you're a hyper-famous, well-established franchise like Grand Theft Auto or Mortal Kombat, creating an M-rated game with ambitions as vast as Destiny's is a risk that Activision won't ever take when there's so much profit to be made by catering to younger gamers.

          • Might not buy the game even if they change it to M. Hopefully they will make good enough changes to make me want to play again.

            • If anything rated M games attract more little kids. CoD and Halo exemplify that pretty well.

              • If done perfectly, then, yeah. But the problem is that it wouldn't be done perfectly at all. As much time as we put into this game, the gore, and corny ass curse words would get old & annoying pretty quick. Think I would rather have a larger player base than blood and swears
