This was the height of the destiny crucible to me personably. You had bad juju, red death, hopscotch pilgrim (the best of them all with the right roll and the most rare), spare change, and a few I may be leaving out. Mida multitool still recked and it was OK to use something else than a sniper rifle as a secondary. Some may hate but I personably loved this meta and some may agree, I just hat how I haven't played in 3 months and all I see in iron banner is Mida, Mida, TLW, Mida, Mida, 1000ys, Mida, TLW. We all want a meta that has more than two or three guns running the show
Edit 1: I'm seeing some love for this and yes I can't believe I left out the messenger, that was a MONSTER! #BuffPulseRifles
Edit 2: We're trending! Please destiny bring balance back to crucible! Buff auto rifles and pulse rifles just enough to add verity.
Edit 3: Seems the common thought is that HoW meta was the best (I agree 100%), yet knowing Bungie by now they'll screw it up again lol
Edit 4: Well with news of the new update, as a preview, I think it'll be Suros Regime and Fusions which I'll f**k with cuz that was the first couple months of vanilla destiny. Wish they would bring back the Hopscotch Pilgrim but I'll take Spare Change if I didn't delete the yr 2 versions I got...FML

I ran Treads Upon Stars, Invective, and the Raid MG. I think in at least 50% of the games I came in first overall and the rest I was in 2nd or 3rd. The only times I legit got beat in a gun fight was due to Mida or a sniper (I was able to challenge snipers more easily than Mida). Mida doesn't need any rebalancing. It works extremely well because it's a great all around gun with some nice perks. The biggest problem is the lack of other solid guns to use. Most guns are subpar (((or only good with the right rolls((which take forever to get(bring back Reforging in some capacity please god))) Hopefully they'll give us some good news today on the stream and a fusion rifle nerf.

3 RepliesMy fav was house of wolves . It was more precision based and everyone was aggressive instead of sitting back with snipes. ( I was a hawkmoon sniper gunslinger btw )
-
Nah, year 1 auto rifle meta was the best
-
No it wasn't. The best this game(PvP wise) has ever been was the Vex Mythoclast era. It was only one gun that was destroying everyone and you was earned.
-
Agreed I liked it when nirwens and reflection sum did more than 28-29 damage per headshot and red death could 2 burst

4 RepliesEdited by InfernalDemise: 4/6/2016 1:36:42 PMNo, I think we're going in the right direction. All that needs to happen now is high impact pulses and ar's need a small damage increase, and hand cannons need accuracy and reserve ammo restored.
-
People shit talk the current meta, regardless. But will always say it was better once a new one comes.
-
Edited by Acadech: 4/6/2016 2:58:41 PMI think it was worst meta ever, i never had so bad diversity on my guns that i pick up for both pvp and pve
-
It was great for sure...

RIP Nirwen's Mercy

It wasn't my personal favourite meta but I can't argue it was probably the best xD my favourite was vanillas I mean before everyone had suros too, everyone was using what they had and idk it just seemed more fun to me. Now you go in and if you don't use a meta weapon it puts you at a disadvantage and that's the matter with crucible. Currently we have the most archetypes in the mix which is good but there's sooo few guns of each of these archetypes that it's almost not worthwhile to try anything out of the mix. Like the no impact autos, all of them have been irrelevant up til this meta and they certainly are fun but what about the high impact ones? Then there's pulses and people are arguing that bad juju archetypes are worth while to use but the grasp of Malok archetype does like 2 damage less and fires quicker, same bursts it takes to kill sooo, and the other pulses are all 3 burst kills so using higher impact ones is futile. Scouts are all alright with the pve one we all know and love the vision of confluence archetype which still holds its own but the mida one is easily better. Hand cannons honestly it's what you are good with but hand cannons as a weapon class currently aren't the strongest. I -blam!-ing love them and have been powering through in the crucible with them lately but it's pretty clear my old favourites aren't what they were previously.

Pulse rifles suck. You have no balls
-
I'm really, REALLY not a fan of pulse rifles. Like I have a hard time with burst fire weapons in video games. (I didn't even like the BR in Halo!) So that meta really stunk for me lol. Either way, I'm excited for bungie to shake things up!

1 ReplyI loved this meta. Praedyth's timepiece all the way!
-
Hopscotch with feeding frenzy and reactive reload was king.
-
Not really. The weapon diversity in this meta is much higher than that one.
-
The IB pulse is still perfectly viable
-
I never got to play the Pulse Rifle meta sadly. I got a god roll hawksaw a few weeks after the mets changed.
-
The pulse rifle and AR metas were the best.

1 ReplyDon't forget the good ol' Allfate
-
Hell naw
-
3 RepliesNo! No "meta" is good! The game should be balanced, not dominated by a meta.
-
1 ReplyHopscotch Pilgrim rip

1 ReplyDear Bungie dudes, Remember when you trashed my hopscotch? Yea, that was sure funny. Will be giving "tree man" a carton of smokes to pick one of the specimens outside your HQ. Better hope he doesn't decide to throw....stuff. http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/man-spends-night-in-80-foot-tree-in-downtown-seattle-builds-makeshift-nest/ Disclaimer - Not making light of mental illness nor inciting any crazy dudes to climb Bungie's trees. No actual trees were harmed in this post.

I liked Thorn Last Word Meta 😎
