In my opinion the division just doesn't cause me to feel that sense of wonder and curiosity that Destiny has. For example, after The Dark Below was released for Destiny, I was absolutely hooked on the Hive and the lore behind them. Nothing in the division does that for me like destiny has. I know they are both set in different worlds but the division has reached the climax of what it can do. The finally boss IS A -blam!-ING HELICOPTER! Destiny's boss is a giant badass alien (referring to Atheon here not the vanilla boss) that you need teamwork to kill. Sorry division you were fun but I'll always find my way back to destiny because of its extensive and interesting lore
Yes I realize the vanilla final boss is the three minotaurs but seriously can those really be considered bosses? I just refer to the raid bosses as the final bosses because they actually deserve the title
Edit: "IN MY OPINION" those are the words I used so don't freak out if you don't agree
Edit: Why is this trending?
Edit: I just realized you never see an infected person in the division like what the -blam!-? Does that not blow your -blam!-ing mind?

Fuck that. Beating crota and aethon didn't make me interested at all. They're dead, no longer relevant. Gone. Done for. Destiny didn't build up shit for either one and I felt like I was killing an oversized glorified hive knight and vex Minotaur.

2 RepliesThis is your opinion. There is some fact to it but keep in mind that the division hasn't even been out for a month. Pretty sure destiny didn't have much lore to it at that point either. I'm sure more updates will bring more of a story with it. It's unfair to compare destiny as it currently is to the division. In the first month destiny didn't have much content past the missions either.

3 RepliesDestiny did stuff wrong Division did stuff wrong Destiny did stuff right Division did stuff right. Pros and cons for each of them

The echoes are pretty coo and tell a gruesome story.

4 RepliesThe Division tried really hard and managed to screw up so many things that should have been lessons learned from Destiny. Too much RNG Poor character creation No barber shop Everyone looks the same with slightly different colors Bullet sponge enemies/bosses Poor weapon balance (each weapon class has one exemplary weapon and some terrible ones) Whack-a-mole AI Cutting content to sell as DLC Terrible/unimportant story The power curve in the Division is really obtuse and was hard to decide what to aim for. Also, if you didn't exploit the heck out of the game, you're way behind and about to get punished even more. That said, I'm still playing it.

Division has spend to mutch time creating a world that becomes obsolete after you hit 30, and same goes for those shitt load of vendors.

1 ReplyMy Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 28, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because your post gave me cancer anyway.
Wow, Ethan! Great memes! Keep it up! Proud of you!
Edited by FlufferBudder: 4/6/2016 11:43:23 AMAnd the division excels at what destiny doesn't in my opinion, although I can see why you would say thatz

You do see infected people. All the "citizens in need" are infected and the doctors girlfriend that sits under a bridge and plays the piano is infected. All the people in tent city on the Hudson refugee camp mission are infected. Listen to the lore and you might enjoy it.

2 RepliesSo you say destinys boss fight against atheon was great Well you are bringing up content that was added later. You havent given the division a chance to add content. Divisions boss fight was way better than the black garden boss fight of 3 minotaurs and that says more about destiny yhan the divisionm

2 RepliesWhat do you think is causing all those people staggering, vomiting and collapsing in the streets around you?!?!

Destiny sucks.

7 RepliesOnce I completed finding all phone recordings, echos, survival guides, and completing every story mission, side mission, encounter, and DZ rank 30.... I got bored lol.

Destiny excels in opening doors Why open it with your hands or explosives when you could guard a floating, voice changing, eyeball that visits you when you're alone? ITS FOOL PROOF. APRIL UPDATE SHOULD BE NOMINATED FOR GOTY
now featuring cosmetic door handles that don't actually work.
Game is less than a month old, what do you expect. Destiny was shit until VOG, 3weeks into release BTW.

10 RepliesEdited by N00bMaster69: 4/3/2016 9:58:23 PMI found with destiny there was always a clear message on how to progress, since hitting 30 in the divsion I've found myself a bit lost, am I supposed to just complete 2 daily missions to get phonix marks and then run around the dark zone aimlessly until I somehow hit rank 50?? Oh and is seriously the only way to get a decent roll on a gun once I have the blueprint to just keep crafting because collecting crafting materials is about as much fun as it was on destiny minus a sparrow

Destiny has an awesome back story, if ya wanna read all the grim(I have) Yes, you do have to consider those 3 in the Black Garden as the final boss for the story...DB was us preventing Crota from entering our demission, HoW was the capture of Skolas and TTK is when we defeated Oryx in the Mission None are raids, just story missions They are the same as the final mission in Division...final story boss Raids(Incursions) are not out yet for Division, so you can not compare Atheon/Crota/Skolas(raid..lol) and Oryx to something we have not played yet As far as infected...have you played the game, I don't mean just finish it The virus had a 90% mortality rate(or damn close)...that means 9 outa every 10 people will die from it In only a few weeks hundreds of thousands of people are dead with no real end in sight This is not a zombie game...the people that get sick... They DIE and it's fast You see tons of infected...just look for the mass graves littered around the city, oh and other then a wall glitch on PC, all we know is that central park was converted into a mass grave and was filled in a week Now, I'm a poor ass Newfoundlander (Canada for those that don't know) and have never been to NYC and seen central park...but from what I know...its fracking huge... If it's filled with bodies...yeah, again that's the Virus at work

Destiny has a lot issue to resolve but the gun mécanismes are just incredible

7 RepliesThe Division could've been way better than it was. The thing they did wrong is that the fps mechanics were terrible while I've honestly never played a game with as smooth fps mechanics in Destiny. Another thing, the bosses are kinda stupidly made. They make you pump about as much lead into an armor less street thug in the Division as into freaking valus ta'aurc in Destiny.. Their battle mechanics are almost non-existent is well. The Division is like a bad mix between the MMOFPSRPG of Destiny and the FPS of CoD. The Division was also way over hyped too.

Why are you comparing a raid boss to the story boss? Don't get me wrong as I was disappointed with the helicopter fight as well (was actually expecting him to come out of it when you brought it down) but you are comparing two modes. --- Destiny's 3 minotaur fight was stupid compared to WoW's Lich King fight. ^ Pretty much what you just did only exaggerated
