I especially liked the year 1 nightfalls better, with that buff and the change of pace made it enjoyable. As of right now Year 1 was so much better. Leveling system was better, the guns are far superior, the game itself was more enjoyable. You could use original weapons even after the second dlc came out.

I've enjoyed both years, but year 1 had weapons that felt really special.. Year 2 feels bland in comparison. Ever since Prison of Elders the trend has been for completing end game activities as the means to upgrade other weapons.. I.e. Etheric light, or TTK raid weapons to infuse into others. The POE and TTK raid weapons alone don't hold up compared to VOG and Crota, and that's what's missing for me. The feeling of completing a raid and having a Vex or Black hammer drop was so memorable... I can't remember a single one of my drops from the Kings fall raid.. They are just a means to infusing other weapons as they are mostly guff. If there isn't anything special or desirable in the game it becomes ordinary and dull... As for nightfalls... Waste of space without the threat of going to orbit and average rewards.. Year 2 feels like a dumbed down version of year 1.. Everything is now equal and fair.. Problem is, it's less fun!

I liked the amount of content and certain leveling systems better in year 1, things like etheric light. Year two has snazzy voice acting but it's infusion system and things like light level on cosmetic items is utter shit. Not to mention the relevant content literally being cut by 3/4

Signed. Back when playing on Tuesday meant something. The grind was strong, but the community was nicer and the VOG is still king.
