1 ReplyI liked it more before it all went Nurf Herding Jellyporn crazy! Used to love soloing nightfalls, when they where tough and all I ever needed was my Suros and icebreaker with maybe a lil Patience and Time on the side!

2 RepliesI did. I quit in Year 2

2 RepliesI actually enjoyed the core game in year 2 more. Year 1 was a cluster of test game modes and raid mechanics, upgrade systems and loot distribution all gone crazy. I feel like year 2 has much better structure. I just wish there was a bit more content. year 1: Horrible mechanics with plentiful content. year 2: Excellent mechanics with little content.

Edited by Cheesy_Quesadila: 3/14/2016 10:16:15 PMlegendary's, exotics, raid armor and weapons were all better in year one, had more options with what weapons to use in both pvp and pve, carry more heavy ammo raid boots I miss those

5 RepliesYear 1 PvP was even more degenerate than now. The PvE load-outs were more fun, and despite having elemental primaries, they felt more diverse as well.

2 RepliesOh man, did I. I'll never get over the decision on elemental primaries. All the best guns were in year one. House of Wolves was the golden era. Both raids were relevant because all weapons could be ascended. The whole last word vs thorn vs hawkmoon rivalry was awesome. I wish this game still captivated me. It was awesome when my regular group was on all the time. They've all left for other games now. I play IB as much as I can stomach the cheating and the shotgun bunnies, but other than that, it's a shell of the experience it once was. The raid is something I couldn't do now even if I wanted to - and I don't want to, not if there's no cool exotic to work for, or even a fun set of elemental primaries to take back to the nightfalls. The heroic strikes feel dull and tedious, although I'm probably just burned out on them at this point. All the exotic weapon perks are centered around refilling my clip. That's some variety there! I'm keeping an eye out for another game that can recapture the magic that this one squandered.

Connection based matchmaking Counters to warlocks? Whats not to love?

1 ReplyWho didn't like Year 1 more?

Keep in mind year 2 isn't over yet, we still got some stuff coming

I wish I played in year one :(

Y1 was newer and fresher. No game last forever.. which is evident with the Destiny fall off we've been seeing. Might see a surge during a new content drop, but nothing like the past.

...you used the wrong "than". Someone had to say it.

I enjoyed the content in Y1. VoG, Crota, and the occasional PoE run were all fun. HoW felt so rewarding. You could use what ever the hell you wanted, and loot was plentiful. Even in it's extremely unbalanced state, Crucible was still fun as hell, and a skilled player could come out on top using whatever the hell he wanted.

Year 2 sucks compared to Year 1. There is literally nothing to do.

4 RepliesEdited by Syrious: 3/14/2016 5:24:34 PMThe best period was the next month and a half after HoW was released Edit: and tbh, grinding Poe keys the week before was probably the most fun in destiny I have had for some reason

I've only played in year 2. I am really enjoying the PvP.
