2 RepliesHad the most fun during House of Wolves. Thorn and TLS didn't bother me too much as I used Red Death and the Messenger. I enjoyed it more than the sniper fest we have now. RIP Messenger Perunes Fire Truth loadout :(

Year 1 was best in my opinion. The main reason, PvP was a lot more stable than Y2 in so many ways. Sure there was shitty weapon balancing in some cases, but now it's a different animal entirely. Bungie -blam!-ed it up royally. Even the grind to max out a weapon felt like an achievement, which sometimes took a number of days grinding out bounties and dailies. This gave bounties and dailies a purpose. Today, I rarely play PvE anymore. Weapon levelling is now just a handful of motes and boom it's maxed. Is kinda pointless having to max a weapon nowadays. Be just as well having them unlocked from the outset.

3 RepliesYou are all hypocrites. "Year 1 is better" "I miss Year 1" PFFFFF! . All of you (I include myself) have cried like little girls complaining about every detail of destiny YEAR 1.
-
3 RepliesThe two points in time when I had the most fun with Destiny were: 1) After the House of Wolves DLC was released 2) Right after Destiny's initial launch and everyone was running green or blue auto rifles in the crucible
-
Year one for sure . If for no other reason there was 3 times the content. At this point in yr two we would welcome an update to the prison of elders.
-
Yep. Peaked at HoW with etheric light
-
4 RepliesReasons Year 1 was better: -Better leveling system (especially when etheric light was finally introduced). Sure it may have taken a bit to get an item, but once you got it you didn't have to worry about a random number next to it to determine your level. -Better Weapons overall -Exotics were better (at least in Vanilla) -Elemental Primaries -Nightfall's were ironically more rewarding due to nightfall buff -Not having to worry about ghost shells or artifacts interfering with stats -Rewards over all were much better. -Re-rolling weapons that you liked until you got the perfect roll -27 coins a week from weekly strikes The things from year 2 if they had added would have been like year 1, but better: -3oC: Excellent idea for those that often had that one exotic escape them -Even more vault space -The collections/blueprints -Vanguard Streak (adding it in with nightfall buff would mean more levels constantly) -The ability to gain both vanguard/crucible rep and faction rep (still think faction rep should be even with vanguard/crucible rep) -Weapon smith faction The things that should have been removed: -Crappy perks that decreased one stat and increased another. Or other like Shank Burn -Ghost shells as an equip and artifacts over all. Honestly, if they brought back the leveling system, elemental primaries, all the old strikes/crucible maps, nightfall buff/rewards over all, got rid of artifacts, and made it so ghost shells didn't affect your light level (but still had their perks I would come back in a heart beat. I really miss the days of running 3x weeklies, CE, VoG, and Nightfalls every week.

It was a Sunday morning. Up early before anyone was awake. I was a lvl27 titan and decided I would have a crack at lvl28 Nightfall solo. Nexus Mind, Void burn. Yeah, I had my Shadow Price, Prudence-II in void, and the Truth, I was set... I really wasn't hahaha Just under an hour later, Hawkmoon. That is a memory I will keep for a long time. Nothing in year 2 comes remotely close..

me, i loved thorn and last word, if you hated thorn just fight fire with fire, and 2 shot wasnt that common jesus

Year 1... Good old days... I remember when my best friend solo'd nightfall for me to help me get my first legendary. It was a New Monarchy machine gun. Vanilla days. The nightfall was Archon Priest. My God nightfall was so intense back in the days. It felt extremely rewarding. Especially when you finally got your hands on Ice Breaker and Gjallarhorn... I got both when Crota's End came out. That was fun. And the best part about nightfall was the Radiant Light modifier... Sigh I miss vanilla... It was so unique, ppl had different things, etc

4 RepliesAs an xb1 user, year two. Why? Hawkmoon landed for us my friends and she was beautiful.
-
Yeah... cause there was more to do.

Y1 for sure, this infusion system is the Satan's job....

Y1 > Y2

Hands down year 1, played 24/7 sure it had its problems but nowhere near as today. I played some year 2 but I sadly wasted my money. Now destiny is a broken piece of broken disc in its case. RIP 2014-2015 at least to me

1 ReplyThis game was at its best during the HoW but vanilla was still good. Miss the good old days
