Definitely preferred year 1 more. Sure, it had its flaws, but you had different ways to get max gear, no dumb time-gated events so everyone could complete the exotic quests on their own time, strikes were a lot more fun, I felt more powerful, the rewards were better (hello Gjally, Fatebringer, Black Hammer!) and with HoW, our gear wasn't made obsolete so a lot more variety in weapons and appearances were seen.

It was better because Crucibabies didn't destroy PVE side of Destiny... too much. But now, it's as if they're out to utterly ruin everything, for both PVE and PVP. And the worst part is, Bungie listens. This game is not designed around PVP, but it's as if PVP now solely dictates it. And it shows. Destiny is in serious trouble.

Everything before TDB... There is a reason the only unobtainable weapons right now are vanilla weapons... The weapons were just flat out better, better names, better flavor texts, and better stats... Bungie has "balanced" this game into oblivion... I want a reason to do raids, and ToO... But there isn't one...

Edited by Spacedublin: 3/16/2016 2:11:35 AMMe. Besides crotas end which was short and lacking in creativity. Pvp maps were better, much more weapon variety although lack of weapon balance. Pvp maps were overall better, matchmaking was better too. Reward system was better come house of wolves, no need to grind one weapon to max level for a few weeks, it just was and etheric light wasnt impossible to obtain and it was a great reason to keep me playing along with reforging for the best loadouts. Trials weapons were far superior pvp end game loot which made them feel special and a good enough reason to go the lighthouse, even raid gear was superior. now its just a chore for some of the worst pvp weapons in the game and some of the most underwhelming raid guns in the game(minus the doctrine of passing and quillums terminus). We had a pve event in year one, that happened once. Although never again... and the nightfall didnt give crap loot and provided a flaming buff which looked sweet. Now its just crap loot. They are working on balance in year two more but its mainly just by preventing variety and utilizing a broken light system. And then the list goes on, year one was just better in almost every way.
