My opinion is yes depending on who's using it, Like I can win so many gun fights with it but also mess up in a heat of battle but I like it alot and I just wanted to know if you guys think it's dead or still alive

It's wings are clipped. Eyasluna actually has better stats...which is sad.

Good in past. Sucks now.

Edited by ClayishPit612: 3/10/2016 3:50:30 PMTried PVP last night, rotated multiple primaries and kept coming back to Hawkmoon. Not as good as it was but those 3 bonus shots! But I miss a heck of a lot more with it now either due to being used to the additional range or what not. :( Would love to "nerf" the players that cried about it. :(

It always depends on who's using it, but I definitely think it's more mediocre now than good. They need to bring back the old range and accuracy.
-
Used to hit like a truck and 96 on a crit I believe and now the hit detection is so off its garbage. Went from being one of the most popular guns in pvp to just a fond memory. A real shame because it wasn't OP in the slightest and didn't warrant a nerf

Edited by mus: 3/10/2016 3:49:05 PMIt's still excellent I don't know what people are saying when they say it sucks. Seriously look at this phantom/rumble comeback http://xboxclips.com/musmus99/f1e48849-b85f-4143-b12b-6653844642fa
starts off really slow!
This one is better, less special weapon usage. http://xboxclips.com/musmus99/dbf22d07-d846-426a-9291-edf43e08440b

Irs still pretty good!

Edited by Guardian2977: 3/10/2016 3:33:21 PMHawkmoon is nothing to what it once was. They killed it's range. They killed the ammo amount (across all handcannons), the aiming is sketchy even with the "patch." I never touch handcannons anymore. And I ran with either Fatebringer or Hawkmoon. There's just no point to them anymore. You can't expect someone who hunted with a feverish devotion to get either handcannons, absolutely nerf the entire class, and think they'll be ok with it. Weapons need to feel powerful, threatening, and reward players with a sense of satisfaction. And if a weapon seems "OP", then simply buff the other classes. No wonder Crucibabies whine about Y1 weapons being used in crucible. It's simple, really. Y1 were just better. Hell, some blue guns are better than exotics! Wtf?!

Seven words for you there buddy. Hand cannons range damage fall off nerf.

6 RepliesEdited by Meatonyourbuns: 3/9/2016 3:07:27 AMAll had cannons besides the thorn and lastword are in a bad place. They needed a range nerf in y1, and maybe some of the AA/stability nerf they took, but the accuracy bloom nerf slaughtered them because of their need to hit headshots. Thorn and last word only function because they don't need headshots to produce competitive ttk's.

3 RepliesNo, it's absolute dogshit. Bloom should have never been increased on it. Even Eysaluna is better. My roll is pretty damn good for Crucible.

Eyasluna is better
-
Its not that bad but not worth anymore an exotic slot, also the hit registration sucks ass compared to y1 , its collecting dust in the vault
-
1 ReplyWhen I use it about half the shots don't register even when I am right on them and have my sights lined up perfectly. Sigh... It collects dust in the vault. My eyasluna is better.

4 RepliesCorrect me if I'm wrong the yr 2 hawk moon has 4 lucky bullets ?

I'd say it's still clinging to life. It's no where near it's former self, but it's not unusable. I don't understand the nerf when it was never even over used, much less over powered. It's sad for me to see so many legendaries that are better. Hawkmoon was my first exotic and is my all time favorite. Even though I don't use it as much any more. I'm holding out hope that it will be given some love in a future update.

3 Repliesfck no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not as good as it was.

Hit detection is F'd!
