"Many of you have expressed the fact that you’re not voracious readers, so we’ll do more of it live!" Deej
Deej, bro I have sat back over the months and you have become increasingly rude to us... The people who enable you to pay your mortgage. Over the months I have watched you employ poor grammar, horrible spelling and a general lack of care in what I am sure you believe to be wonderful articles. Putting your writing style, or lack there of style, aside what I can't deal with is the constant belittling of US the readers and loyal fans! I would put good money that a good majority of the people on this forum are damn fine readers. They are well educated and I guarantee you that if we stand up and call to arms we can replace you for someone who will actually care about us enough to give us the respect we deserve. Again, we enable you to pay your bills and push us enough we can make that cash flow stop.
All I ask is for respect. Learn to respect this community or please move on to something that will bring you joy and allow us to have someone we deserve.
Have a wonderful life. Peace out!
My fellow guardians, I am sorry for the rant.

and several "Deej should be fired" threads isn't rude at all to him? seriously, if you are that bothered by that innocent statement, which is very true, you should just stay off the internet all together.

1 ReplyHe's a figurehead. He's paid to say what he says. Would people stop acting like the guy just says what he wants? If he's being short or rude or not giving details, it's not because he wanted to. He's a PR doll and a voice box for a large company. Chill out

Hit the nail on the head!

DeeJ and Cozmo should fire back. I actually quite enjoy it. I'll be the first to admit that when they slip or leave themselves open for an insult, I hammer them. Don't dish it if you can't take it though.

For you to say that we allow him to pay his bills and his mortgage is not only ruder than anything he has ever said, it's flat out offensive. You imply that without us, he'd be on the street. He is a community manager for one of the most well known developers in the gaming industry. He doesn't need me, you or anyone. A hundred companies would hire this guy before he even made it out of Bungie's headquarters, so stop pretending like you own him. Have you seen the comments on these forums? Broken English, bad spelling, and pathetic grammar. Further, people read two lines of an article and comment as if they read the whole thing. So to say most of us aren't "voracious readers" is about as polite as that could have been. Your post is bad and you should feel bad. But you won't. You'll deliberately misinterpret one line from my comment and try your hardest to be offended by it.

When is Deej a customer service rep? You also really think Deej is rude, dealing with thousands of you little brats in a virtual reality world? Grow some balls and get a thicker skin buddy because the real world is much more ruder than Deej has ever been. Mommy and daddy won't be there for you like they were when you were writing this post.

Many does not mean all. He did not insult anyone but alerted us that a new level of communication was about to start.
-
Thank you! I would much rather read the updates than watch a poorly produced, non-informative, who knows how long Bungie lovefest!
-
Complaining about grammar..better submit your application to bungie and be the next pr rep.

This is not rude young kindergaurdian.

1 ReplyRude? Quit being a sensitive little princess.

Omg you little league, "everybody wins" hippie. That isn't rude. It isn't close and stop living some sheltered life that makes you believe that people aren't going to be to the point and blunt on anything. Once you graduate middle school, you'll understand that most people don't care if you live or die. Welcome to planet earth, deal with it.

1 ReplyHis comment you refer to makes no sense. I read the forums a lot. And have never once seen anyone ask to replace articles with video. To the contrary, I've seen plenty who have said the videos have been very poor, unorganized, and Deej as usual comes off as arrogant and childish as have many of the guests. I think this just comes down to laziness. It's easier to video than write an article. Can it get worse? I'm not sure. So I will wait to see the disaster unfold in video.

Bungie has proven they don't care about the community like they say. They also have proved they don't care about their own game. I have such a hard time trying to wrap my small little brain around why, as a developer, you would alienate 3/4 of your own game when that's all we have really wanted in the first place. How sad is it that as a destiny player I would be thrilled just to have old content brought to current levels. I mean shit, think about being able to have 3 sets of raid gear. Elemental primaries being a thing again. Actually living up to we don't want your gear to become useless after working for it. All I can do is shake my head at them each and every week that goes by. I guess I'm the fool here because I continue to play this game and expect them to care just a little bit.

Edited by Ravn_21: 2/19/2016 3:50:31 PMWhile I think Destiny is dying and I'm sick of the lack of content, he is rightfully taking jabs at the incredibly vocal minority who say they can't read weekly updates and bitch about stuff.

12 RepliesAbout less than a month ago Deej came out with an article saying Matchmaking settings were changing. I replied saying "That still isn't bringing me back." Granted that may have come off snarky, but it was honest because I'm tired of the PvP updates but nothing about PvE. Deej then replied to me saying (and I'm paraphrasing here) "Then why are you still on the forums." He has consistently become more of a problem starter than a solver. He should have at least replied saying I'm not allowed to comment on certain aspects of Destiny's development. This is why I'm very skeptical of ever pre purchasing from Bungie ever again

TL:DR
Jk. It was well said.
Hey he can be rude all he wants as long as he just gets the crew to fix hammer of sol

You should consider therapy dude.

2 RepliesEdited by archivest: 2/19/2016 5:15:22 PMYour evidence is that people use this forum, but we all know that maybe 20% of destiny players use the forum. Why are you so offrnded. If you can read and are comfortable with who you are, you wouldn't look for slights in every comment. You would have read that, thought about all those non-forum dwellers and moved on. Also, as others have pointed out, there are a lot of people too lazy to read a full post or who just do not want to. Lastly, if you had the choice between reading a weekly update or watching a twitch stream, which would you choose.

I don't see your point... at all. Where was he rude? They don't teach kids to write in cursive any more. With devices reading content to our kids, it won't be long before they stop teaching them to read. We are letting the education system in this country dumb our kids down.
