Over 80% of players in the closed beta went rogue. And that was the closed beta. I'm scared to go into the dark zone.

I'm not gonna lie, I tried it out. It was a two day beta. I had to try everything.
-
same strategy as with GTA online, HAVE A CREW TO WATCH YOUR BACK
-
But I don't have friends ;_; Or at least, I don't have friends with a PS4.
-
If I go into PVP i plan to kill players
-
It's less of a PvP and more of a PvEvP. Teaming up with friends is just as viable (and sometimes more viable) then killing people.
-
id guess it was because of the bug that allowed you to safely wait out your rogue timer in the safe house.
-
Only time I went Rouge was when I was either grouped up with a full team or when we decided to get the whole lobby pissed off at us and all go on man hunts then camp on top of the library while we killed everyone and stole their items as they came up the ropes chasing after us.
-
I hope it doesn't turn into GTA online
-
Bro c4 on the trunk, convince someone to get in, jump out of speeding car aimed at group of buddies, he becomes driver, boom massive kills and theres like a 50% chance they think it was the other guy lol
-
It was pretty easy to go rogue in the closed beta.
-
eh, slightly misleading. I went rogue a couple of times by complete accident. By that I mean people walking infront of me when I am spraying at a rogue enemy...so yeah I'm usually a peaceful player but people walking into my bullets screwed me over a couple of times.
-
That stat is very misleading. It also includes people who maybe went rogue once on accident. Most players are friendly in the DZ, from my experience.
-
Well, it also didn't say how many people succeeded in going rogue, and this is the dev posting this data after all. Maybe you just got lucky.
-
I'm saying that odds are, in 3 days of play, you probably went rogue at least once by accident. This occurrence is weighted the exact same as a player constantly going rogue in that statistic. The amount of players who "went rogue" doesn't mean anything when you consider the lack of context.
-
Fair point, but then again, this is the human race we're talking about. Play any other similar survival game like DayZ or Ark and you'll most likely be in a server full of people wanting to kill you with maybe 1 or 2 friendly people. That's always been my experience with those types of games.
-
None of those games have anything like the Rogue system. When you don't provide incentives to work together, people will just kill each other. The Division DZ is much more civilized than the games you described.
-
I hope that's how it'll end up, I really do. I hope the rogue system gives an incentive to work as a team and helps players avoid lies and traps, but I'm not counting my chickens till they hatch.
-
DZ wasn't that bad. But people went rogue because there wasn't really much todo
-
Towards the end yeah because the DZ had limited content and like a 2 day refresh rate, plus that stat doesn't take into account accidental engagement which happens quite a lot.

Edited by TheArtist: 2/16/2016 5:53:19 PMJust team up. With a group it's fun By yourself it is really dicey. Those numbers are inflated. Because the warning indicator are the Rogue health bar were the same color. So many people went rogue by accident because someone attacked but stayed under the limit of going rogue. Their victim defends themselves and they wind going "rogue" because the game still considered the guy who shot first as "non-hostile." Some people were doing this deliberately. Also if one team member actually does go rogue, he drags the rest of the team with him.
-
That sucks. I enjoy that kind of system in a game made for it, like DayZ, but a game that recommends co-op and makes it much harder to work alone isn't really helping by making it so easy to screw your team over.
-
Which is why I've had some pretty heated discussions on Reddit, that the DZ can't be the only end game. Many people just aren't going to enjoy that style of play.
-
Yeah, though I have a sneaking suspicion that this is the only end game content. All I know is that I'll have to see what I think during the open beta.
-
Too many rumors of a raid going around...and direct mentioning of it in an interview with Ubisoft designer back in 2013. Ubisoft has not confirmed any of this...but they also haven't DENIED any of it either.
-
Who knows? This is Ubisoft, so it probably involves climbing a radio tower. I kid, but I'm very cautiously optimistic about this game. It could either be a great Clancy game, or Destiny 2K17.
