It kills way too fast and it's unfair because there's no counter. Don't deny it hunters, it's pretty op.
Edit: We did it 450 replies and every comment is someone saying one of these 3 things:
-Firebolt is more op
-But...but us hunters have to sacrifice a Melee and grenade charge!
-Lol
Yes Firebolt is op, but so is this smoke issue. I don't know why smoke is considered a Melee because it is throwable (that's a word deal with it) but anyways...
bungo plz
Edit 2: 600 replies. Now everyone is still saying smoke if balanced because it takes a "Melee" charge. Let me tell you something.
Is it truly a Melee if you can throw it like a second grenade? A simple fix would be to buff smoke but make it a grenade, as well as buffing vortex.
Yes, I main a warlock and I'm aware of Firebolt being op. That's not the point of this post however.
Edit 3: Ok yes I am a bit salty about this because we lost our 8-0 trials game against smoke/vortex abusers. I knew it was annoying in the first place but losing an entire trials match because of that is so annoying. Call it op, a crutch, exploit, whatever. It needs a change.
/end rant
Every comment is the same. Read the post and if your comment isn't the same thing everyone says, I'll actually comment and care.
It's hardly an exploit but yeah, it does need a change and anyone that says otherwise is blind to it.
Just add a simple timer between when you can toss the smoke after a grenade or a grenade after a smoke. Simple fix.
-PopSkimo
That's a good fix too.
Should I be proud or ashamed that my first post to hit 1k comments is a salty bitch post? Thanks I guess.

Warlock melee ain't exactly traditional melee range either

14 RepliesIs thunderstrike truly a melee if it can snipe people?

1 ReplyEach class has its perks. If you want nightstalkers to give up venom smoke, then hand over flame shield and shoulder charge
-
Why aren't you complaining about throwing knives then. You can throw them also.

4 RepliesEdited by johnfcooley: 2/8/2016 12:53:54 PM"Yes I main a warlock and fire bolt is op, but that's not the point" Never is when it's in your favor. However if it kills you then it's an issue that must be delt with. I can sum up this post and others like it: "Something killed me and I don't like it and can't deal with it. Bungie I am special and you need to fix it now!"

1 ReplyYou lost one game to this non crutch, it's not op you're just bitching. Trapping is the entire point of the subclass. Vanish in smoke is pointless because it doesn't work with lockdown and snare is boring. The smoke with lockdown is viable. I also like the fact you're bitching about this after one lost flawless.

2 RepliesSmoke+vortex is not the wombo combo. Im guessing you're a little kid by how much tears you typed this post with. The actual wombo combo is probably older than you.
-
2 RepliesSo you're mad that someone is using their abilities effectively?
-
4 RepliesMy favorite thing about smoke grenades is that they give you an overshield on hit and burn your target for a long time. Wait... sorry, that's Warlocks. Well, my favorite thing about vortex grenades is that they arc to targets at a distance, and can hit 3 targets at the same time, dealing maximum damage to all while keeping them out of the fight with an extended burn. Wait, that's Warlocks again. Silly me. Seriously, get the -blam!- out. It takes a grenade and melee charge to kill one target. If you hit someone with a grenade and melee, they're going to die. The only bonus is that a Nightstalker can do it at range. Big -blam!-ing deal. I thought Hunters were supposed to be the crying class.

Combos are OP, you hear that Street Fighter?
-
2 RepliesI havnt played Crucible in months but isn't it easy to avoid?

1 Reply3 firebolts is way worse than 3 wombo combos.

2 RepliesAnd here we observe another one of the forums finest retards

1 ReplyWill you like a nerf to warlock grenades or super? No? Well suck my dick.
-
1 ReplyNightstalker has 0 offensive grenades. This means to actually be effective we have to use both our melee and our grenade to get a kill. The lack of "explosive" grenades essentially means they're devoid of cleanup grenades, which every other class has. So no. It's not broken, it's not OP, it's a combo move just like meleeing someone after a shotgun. Is that also OP?
-
No. It's fine
-
5 RepliesEdited by Why So Searious: 2/8/2016 5:10:14 PM1 of 9 subclasses in this game doesn't have explosive/tracking grenades. Funny thing is the 1 out of 9 is nighstalker, shouldn't they have some way to use those grenades? Yes they give up their melee as well.
-
3 RepliesNo offense, but how the hell does a smoke grenade slow you down? A hunter questioning Hunter skills. Logic.
-
1 ReplyOT but why is everyone(a lot of ppl in the forums) call bungie Bungo i dont get it can you explain that please :)
-
They did this on purpose, imagine how op using stuff like scatter grenade and smoke would be, or suppressor.
-
-
I agree it's OP and deserves a nerf, but if this gets the need so should the warlocks grenade burn
-
3 RepliesNot even the most deadly loadout on Nightstalker
-
10 RepliesI main hunter and I have to say smoke grenades are a little much. Nightstalker is like the only good hunter subclass as well.
-
And people say hunters complain too much smh
