I honestly would be devastated I have never invested as much effort into any video game character as much as I have my Hunter. There would need to be a very good reason to make us start over. However if they don't delete them how can they change enough to not feel exactly the same. Are they going to add more elements and subclasses to go with them? Obviously only time will tell but it's something I often think about while I am grinding on my characters to achieve small rewards just to make my character look a little different.

2 RepliesI still have my spark of light so if I didn't have that I'd quit destiny because I worked so hard to farm for the void flatter mantle, and the kings layer ghost
-
When ttk came out. That oretty much happend. All the hours u spent grinding and grinding on all your year 1 stuff. Is now useless
-
Well, they basically wiped the characters twice already and ppl kept playing, so.... Personally, won't take it so bad. It's a game and if D2 gives a good experience, then fine I suppose.
-
If they made the game 200% better and actually as there e3 preview showed it honestly? I wouldn't care as long as no Year 1/2 weapons made it across at least this way it enables a completely fresh start with even a possibility of a 4 race/class
-
I'd make my lock look good this time, trial and error friends, nah ,I'd be salty tho
-
2 RepliesI mean...they already made last years work irrelevant. Not surprised if they make all your work irrelevant.
-
1 ReplyIt will be a whole new game I would love to start over in something brand new.
-
I don't give a shit, i already left only one char.
-
1 Reply>turns on ps4 >loads "destiny 2" >let's see if this game will be even more shit than the first one >loading up >all characters are gone >.... >eject disc >play Warframe
-
I would feel like I was starting a new game...like almost every sequal ever
-
"Welp, there goes any chance of me playing this no doubt steaming pile of disappointment." *grabs some random book I picked up a month beforehand but hadn't gotten around to reading*
-
You'll probably keep your grimoire and stats but everything else goes. It has happen before, Bungie didnt "wipe" your gear but they made it obsolete so that you grind for new one.
-
Pshh, they wipe most of our progress each DLC, more like TTK.
-
I wouldn't care. I'd just move on to another game.
-
I'd be pretty PO'd. I've put a tonne of hours into the game, levelled 3 characters to 317+, acquired every available exotic weapon and piece of armour (still working on 4 Exotic class items) and then Bungie tells me - yah you wasted your time for Destiny 2.0?
-
They wipe us every time dlc happen.
-
3 RepliesJust make Destiny 2 a seperate game. I'll get to keep my D1, and play fresh in D2. Just make sure D2 is 1080p 60fps
-
1 ReplyTake it all. Except Fatebringer. And VOC. And corrective measure. And the Timepiece. Anything VOG leave it alone. Take the rest.

Doesn't matter they pretty much did that with the taken king. The grimoire and faction rep would be the only thing taken away.
-
Why would it wipe them? They either come over or they stay in destiny one. I should be able to put the old game in and play if it's still live shouldn't I?
-
I don't really care so long as I keep my cosmetic and exotic collections
-
If it would be completely new with all new raids and gear etc, etc...I think I might be ok. This year 2 bs is so old already.
-
Outraged.
-
I've played soooooooooo many games that as long as I can keep them looking the same, I really don't care. If they do it like Mass Effect, I'd say they'd be doing it right.
-
As long as I can keep my 1607 motes of light and 500 odd strange coins I wouldn't mind
