Proof Destiny is marketed to kids now: A "Hotline Bling" emote? Seriously?
What's next? Someone screaming "Watch me nay nay?" Whatever the Devil that means..
Cue 200 little kids saying "Rated T for Teen." The original marketing campaign was that of an adult-friendly, dark story line starring people easily recognized by adults (Dinklage, Fillion, Torres, Lance Reddick). This was the campaign for years, from before the ESRB/PEGI rating up until the start of year 2. Now it's "Let's make a bunch of immature dick and fart jokes."
They sold the people a game that was supposed to be one way and have now made it into kid-friendly rubbish.
Bungie is probably going to have someone sneezing into their elbow and calling it a dance before there is a single foxtrot or waltz.

Destiny also released "The Fresh Prince dance". [b]EDIT[/b] The dance is actually from Apache (Jump On It) by the Sugar Hill Gang in 1981. What other popular dance emote was sold? [b]THRILLER[/b] by Michael Jackson, 1982... [b][u]1982![/u][/b] The Hammer (It Up) dance which, of course is based off of MC HAMMER's famous Can't Touch This Hammer Time dance. The Sprinkler which apparently has its origins in 1987. Carlton's dance which is inspired by Eddie Murphy's White Man Dance from his Delirious comedy special in 1983, and Courtney Cox did it in Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark video which came out 1984. There is also a two person swing dance emote, and maybe I missed something else.. Not all emotes are culturally relevant. Some are just emotionally relatable. The point is, as long as emotes are selling, they are going to bring out emotes of all kinds, and it would behoove them as a business to sell emotes that will actually make money. If you don't like these, it's your opinion; don't buy them. But you don't attack Bungie for what seems to be absolutely no reason. Have a problem with micro transactions in general? Cool, post about that then.

I would love to have a fckn Nay Nay emote. I'm 40+ Nobody is making u buy it. I can't think of a more silly dance to humiliate dead opponents with. That is the point of the dance emotes anyway.

I won't disagree that bungie is marketing to kids but hotline bling is a song by a famous rapper who makes music for pretty much anyone 16-30 so Idk if I'd say this was the turning point. A lot of older people listen to his music. Unless you're considering 19/20 to be kids then I guess you're right
