So... Kotaku is reporting that Destiny 2 has been delayed
Will not release this year, and that these bullshit mini-events will be the norm for the foreseeable future... If that is true, then it is official... Destiny is dead.

11 RepliesThe proof that it's dying comes from the fact that everyone is already talking about Destiny 2. As far as MMOs go, this one had a very short lifespan. They're meant to keep players invested for more than just a couple years. That being said, idk how any veteran players manage to stay invested. I've only been playing a few months, and I'm already bored of it.

1. Bungie/Destiny has never given a release date, September was speculation from a leaked from rough draft contracts in 2012 2. September is the 9th month, not the 12th month.

I'm beginning to notice how video game journalism is RAPIDLY becoming to like television media. They spout out random shit without checking. They were saying that the division had micro transactions at launch, which got shut down right away. How NMS would launch last November, then edited it to say next year, then edit it again to say December, then back to next year.

Newsflash, Fallout: New Vegas released is 2010 and Fallout 3 released in 2008. If Destiny 2, or whatever it's called, is a quality game it will do well whether it's released in the fall of 2016 or later. If it sucks, it won't. If an expansion isn't released whenever [i]you[/i] think it should don't panic; play another game, go outside, learn a new life skill, read the news, whatever. It's been proven time and time again that a quality IP can survive, and even thrive, years between sequels if the sequels are quality games in their own right. I really don't understand people going out of their mind if Destiny doesn't release a substantial expansion every few months. That's a pretty ambitious schedule, if you ask me, especially if you're able to play several hours per day. It's a video game folks. If you enjoy it play it to your hearts content. If you do then you start to get bored after a while do something else. If an expansion is released that re-ignites your interest then pick it up and start over. If one doesn't, don't. It's not rocket appliances people. Edited for drunk spelling mistakes.

The only way we could have gotten a game this soon was if it was created using the same timeframe as a cod game. There's no way we would have enjoyed it. It would have been the most deflated, content-less, piece of garbage that destiny has ever been

So what if its delayed? Should be better than pre maturely releasing it like destiny 1 right? Everyone bitched because destiny came out as a half assed game so if they can take more time and perfect destiny 2 then i wouldn't even mind.
