Okay, let's just say:WARLOCK IS THE WORST FREAKING CLASS. Seriously, everything about them SUCKS.
Reason 1: glide
They ALL have glide, no variety. Plus, it is painfully useless in battle. Most people use the jump action to avoid damage so having a jump that has the same functionality as fake plastic wings taped to your arm is moronic. Honestly, which is harder to shoot: a teleporting super-soldier or Mary -blam!-INPoppins? Also, alot of the game's overworld requires getting to high places so having glide is more of a handicap until you get the boosts which is one of the last things you unlock for all the subclasses.
Reason 2: supers
Truthfully, they could be worse, but literally every other class is better.
Hunters have the best crowd control(nightstalker) and 1-on-1 attack(the other 2)
Titans have a the best defense (defender) and an even better attack class (hammer)
What do the warlocks have? I mean they have crowd control even though it's mediocre(stormcaller) which is both attack AND crowd control but it's not strong enough to kill most enemies like it really intended and the range is meh and enemies can still wreck you while being zapped as opposed to nightstalkers which suppresses them and makes them easier to kill and has balanced range and functionality. The only good subclass for warlock is sunsinger and as a support class that buff the rest of the team. Something has to change.
Reason 3: armor
Yes, I know, this has been said a trillion times before but it is a major issue. There are no noteworthy amazing armor or artifact. They all kinda blend together as ok/good armor. Hunters have a 2 really good helmets (gravitation forfiet and knucklehead radar) and 2 amazing gauntlets. They can be switched with any class and still have benefits (minus gravitation). Same with titans. But all exotics for warlocks aren't that helpful especially for the time it took to get them they're all centric to 1 of the two pre dlc subclasses. There needs to be more armors and more useful effects.
To sum it all up warlocks are the metaphoric paraplegic handicap characters of the game. And they feel pratically neglected during the bungie character design.
okay, so I NEVER mentioned pvp like at all I have no idea why you all think im talking abou pvp. Pvp is the most balanced aspect destiny this is a pve discussion so
Let's start with stormcaller: landfall kills anyone in a super, then vaporize everyone with lightning, ranged melee, and just a lot of op stuff Sunsinger:self rez, gains overshield on melee hit, over powered grenades Voidwalker:axion bolt (the 1 that requires no skill) blink

Edited by whiteblade89: 1/16/2016 11:55:57 PMI don't agree with this at all. It's been a while since I played, but I started as hunter and switched to warlock because they seemed more powerful. (Idk if they actually are, I have no evidence to back that up besides personal experience). But none of your arguments make sense. I judge subclasses on how well they kill majors in pve. Compared to my BD, my Stormcaller wrecks absolute face. I can kill about 3 majors with one stormtrance, not to mention our ability that extends the super, whereas with BD, I might get one major to half health before my super ends, or he smashes my face in. I'll admit, glide takes some getting used to, but I prefer glide to hunters jumps. Even triple jump doesn't seem like it gets you anywhere. Once you master glide, you feel like you can go anywhere. Your pvp point is valid though. Glide is a huge risk, but frankly, the risk is balanced with an awesome super. Crowd control? Please. I've stormed headlong into another teams territory and wrecked their shit with my super. If you think warlocks are bad, you're not playing them right. Side note: this is a hunter/warlock comparison. Never played titan, so I can't comment on it.

1 ReplyWhat PvE activities are you playing to make you think warlocks are this bad? Maybe you should try a different race.

Pvp is the most balanced aspect destiny this is a pve discussion so

Damn. So there's a lot of stupidity in this one. Let's break it down, shall we? Jumps. The biggest complaint. Not everybody likes glide, but saying its garbage is just false. Focused glide does exist, and it's nearly as fast as Titan skating. Don't review something you know little about. You say that it's only glide...really? What's that one jump? In Voidwalker? Oh yeah. Blink. You even have an example involving how good it is, but fail to realize Warlocks have it as well. And Focused Control has the highest vertical jump, but, refer to my previous statement about ignorance. Stormcaller is mediocre? Is that why it can do more than Celestial Nighthawk Golden Gun? Seriously? Did you even use it? It's the best crowd control in the game, coupled with very high dps. And you can hit multiple targets at once...seriously don't know what you're getting at there. Sunsinger is great. You can't argue there. Voidwalker is meh, I'll give you that. But it shines in pvp. As do all of its classes. Heart of the Praxic Fire, Alchemists Raiment, Voidfang Vestments, The Ram, Claws of Ahamkara, Obsidian Mind... And how are they paraplegic handicaps? You didn't provide any real evidence for your claim, just misguided statements and false claims, mixed in with a little bias. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion. But remember, there's a difference between an opinion and an educated opinion.

Edited by Hork3r: 1/14/2016 10:48:14 PMA tailored stormcaller guide just for you: Step one: Use focused burst for glide. Always use focused burst. Step two: Go for max recovery and near max agility. Step three: Use extended melee range. Step four: Use Transcendence. Step five: Use Impossible machines for landfall. Chaining for pve, blink for pvp. Other than that you're fine.

Practice practice practice warlock warlock pvp practice

You haven't been playing warlock long enough to learn how to use each subclass apparently. I mostly play my warlock and don't see anything wrong with the jump, supers or armor. I get away from more engagements with my warlock than my hunter. It really depends on who is playing the class. Saying that warlocks are the worst class is your opinion.

I didn't read this post after I read he said warlocks only have glide, obviously doesn't know warlocks have blink and invented it, if it's not satire this guy is a noob

4 RepliesEdited by awsomeness3210: 1/13/2016 8:42:27 PMLol you're dream class (huntards) is just a 3 in one defender, (grenade that stops super and blinds and of course damage boost just like weapons of light, a ripoff ) you act you are orb machines but actually these baby orbs are even less then normal ones (git gud scrub). oh you have a evade... Two words TWILIGHT GARRISON. Did you see us in pvp we are now master race there! just as in pve look on it on the bright side your still third best race
warlockmasterrace
Drops mic*

3 RepliesEdited by Sturm with no Drang: 1/13/2016 3:38:14 PMYou haven't even fully upgraded Stormcaller yet? Dude, you need to just play more and not suck. Warlocks have the only supers untouched from nerfs right now so you'd better appreciate it while you can and lean off of your Hunter, yeah? Unnecessary salt-post is officially cabbage.
