People only focus on the negative things that are related to religion... What about the Outreach programs both here and abroad? (I.e. "Compassion International") What about the hundreds of thousands of hours of community service many churches contribute to? What about the incalculable number of lives saved because they abandoned their years as an addict or alcoholic because they "found God"? If atheists want to rely on logic so damn much, maybe you should consider that religion has a very important place amongst schools of thought and belief, and actually has a very positive impact on many people's lives. Sure there are bad people, bad believers; but that doesn't erase the reality that the majority of negative stories that come out are few in comparison to the positive impact [u]most[/u] churches have. The overall goal of church is to establish morality in people and encourage people to follow that morality. While I accept Gay Marriage is a big, controversial topic, there are many other morality-based expectations that are a positive goal to have. I know this doesn't answer your question. I just had to throw it out there for all the people who want to whine and moan over the topic.

I find it impossible for chance to happen so much. Also God existed before the universe, that means the laws of the universe didn't apply to him. Think deeper, where did the universe come from? If it just appeared, why couldn't God just exist?
