The thought has been on my mind for a while now. With the Iron Banner approaching, more and more I believe Titans and Warlocks have the edge. They're the only classes that can get huge amounts of multiple kills in seconds, using their Supers. You don't really see Hunters getting that main kills in seconds, except for the REALLY good ones.
So I wanted to hear your opinions. Where do Hunters have the edge in Crucible fights? What can they do, that a Titan or a Warlock can't?

1 ReplyGg hunter skill tree provides many jelpful perks for the 90% of the game where you do not have a super.

Controlled mobility. I'll take my throwing knife over any other melee hands down although smokes are nice. GG is nice for shutting down supers from range. Keen scout is an amazing perk and honestly that by itself is worth using a hunter. Shadestep is much better than blink as well. Lots of stuff that make playing a hunter unique and worth it. Of course there are plenty of things that make the warlock worth it and the Titan as well. It's all preference. Hopefully this wasn't a bait to start a class war because that's just childish

Make a crap ton of orbs.

They have the ability to get things nerfed lol

Before I deleted my characters and uninstalled the game, I was using a Hunter: Gunslinger for Crucible and Nightstalker for PvE. Overall what I liked about Hunters was how much control you have over mobility when you have Directional Jump equipped on either subclass. I chose Gunslinger for Crucible because it has the most potential to cause tic damage out of the 3 subclasses (incendiary grenade + incendiary knife, which recharge pretty quickly even without high discipline/strength), using the Combustion perk meant there was a chance at a multi kill with one Golden Gun shot, but I didn't rely on that chance, I just preferred that chance over Deadeye or Gunfighter. And using Chain of Woe meant I didn't have to use weapons with accuracy-enhancing perks. I used Nightstalker for PvE because it was an orb maker: Light of the Pack + Black Hole ( I preferred Black Hole over Blood Bound because Blood Bound lasts significantly shorter, which I didn't feel was worth the shared damage perk; I got higher orb counts in most situations using Black Hole). The Vortex grenade it unlocks late in the skill tree can provide a little breathing room, and using Envenomed only did that better. The cherry on top had to be Keen Scout: increased movement speed, and being able to mark targets. In a nutshell I liked Hunters because of their usefulness that doesn't depend on a super. Titans and Warlocks are fun as well, but playing as them I felt like the only useful thing they brought to the table was their super, which isn't a bad thing; I simply chose mobility and what I considered to be more practical perks over a fancy super.

Hunters can go fast like Sanic and leave a trail behind them.

2 RepliesEdited by The Kelbi Hunter: 12/22/2015 5:52:18 PMI play all three. But since the update I prefer my hunter for pvp. The new perk "keen scout" is the most amazing pvp for my playstyle. Most people don't pay attention to the little "hunted" status in the bottom l left, and it makes it si you can see where people are behind walls. You can mark someone, then win. Lol

Keen scout of the nightstalker gives the best awareness in the game exclusive to hunters.

Bitch and complain about anything that isn't a buff to their class

I agree there are a lot of terrible hunters out there and are the same ones calling for nerfs. Hunters are the most lethal class in the game if used right.
