The guy who did it said it was 16 orbs. Maybe at the same time?
The confirmed rewards are: emblem, ship, fragment, normal 320 challenge and 320 artifact.

6 RepliesSo basically it is confirmed that the only thing that works is detonating at least 16 bombs at once? However, if a knight eats one of your bombs in one of the first four rounds you can just run a 5th round to get an extra bomb to make up for it and then detonate them all at once, correct?

Spent the entire day up to now with a few different groups trying to get this done. Finally settled into a good, patient group that managed to get it done. The worst part of the challenge was dealing with the lag problems, a lot of stupid stuff was happening like the shade still wiping us after we killed it (no doxology in sight) and the game not letting me take the spark once I got to it. The loot made it more than worth it though, I got TWO 320 primaries (pulse and hand cannon), and of course the other 310 stuff and ship etc. I really wanted the raid pulse at 320 so I'm pretty happy about that (it has Glass Half Full too), and the hand cannon made my ToM into a 317. Hate the thought of running this again on my hunter but I have to because it's my main and I have the 49 fragments on him. I'm going to have to build up the desire to run this again.

We had titans, but they are not necessary, at all. (edit2) Ship is cool looking.

I can confirm 16 orbs at once strategy works, you don't need 4 plate holders and someone may be able to die I think. We only had 3 designated plate holders, 2 Titans on ogre/plate 4 knight/general dps, 1 relic runner. We never changed up jobs. We also had someone die, If I remember correctly it was on 4th orb round. All ogres were dead (4 sets of 4 orbs) but believe number 3, 4, and vessel were still up when he died. We staggered oryx and detonated all 16 bombs, he went to middle and we downed him. I got 315 and 320 pulse, normal 303 and 310 hand cannon, hard 310 shotgun, 308 gloves, 318 chest, normal 310 bond, 320 numinous web and 310 broken crown artifact. I got ship, emblem and fragment on completion (if you have space). In order to get shader I had to go talk to eris. I also had moldering shards on me which may account to amount of loot that was dropped, I don't know if they were consumed or not but will update on that.

It's 3 shades for some of the people who are confused I've seen videos both ways. So you can still do no knight but you gotta kill the shade 3 times so you gotta be carful on the #of bombs you detonate. The16 orbs looks much easier then doing any other strat plus you guaranteed to be sent in 3 times. I haven't been home so I can't try it till later good luck to all

I finished it earlier my group saved all 16 bombs then set them off at the end thats how we done it seriously people just kill the knights its not that hard two sniper shots and they are dead my group find killing the knights easier then running no knights with no knights alot is left up to luck if you kill them less will go wrong.

Just go up top how you'd do the no knight strat, except the two up top kill ogres while the other three on plates kill three of the knights. Designate a person up top to kill forth knight, and when you're all up top, kill the vessel. Make Oryx flinch, jump down and kill ads. Kill shade. Repeat.
