This quest is literally impossible
Doing Fears Embrace on Phobos. At the end with the Echo of Oryx. And the adds are just demolishing me.
Why is this mission so difficult? I've had no problems with all the others solo so far?
About to go insane..

But thanks community for all of the suggestions and feedback. I've never had a topic explode like this did. And I'm glad I'm not the only one wanting to break stuff.

1 ReplyRed death as your primary. Every time adds spawn, run around the room in a circle while clearing them as you move, this way they can't pinch you. Clear all the adds, dps the boss, repeat. Celestial nighthawk is good for boss melting.

I had a hard time until I did the "stand still" strat. Summin the shadow and jump back up into the alcove of the door you came in and just stand there and snipe it. Adds will come but not into alcove. Kill them as needed and back on Oryx. I barely got touched the whole time. I was actually disappointed at how easy it was

4 RepliesIt's really tough, you basically need to have a fireteam. This happens every once in a while, and it's so annoying. When someone posts about how difficult the last mission for the Touch of Malice questline is, people always say "solo it"! Well about 90% of people that say that (probably a higher percentage), have never beaten the raid and earned a ToM. People! You have to do the mission twice in the questline. The last step (the second time you do it) is ridiculously hard, especially if you're on your main, trying to get the Malice. It's like Bungie put all the cheap mechanics they could cram into one little, difficult battle. Just check, anyone who posts here saying "I solo'ed it", doesn't have higher then 300 light (but like I said, really more like 90%). /end rant

Empty your 7 shots into his head, f that doesn't do it one or two shots from a good sniper will do it. I don't understand why people don't use sleeper more often it does butts damage with weapons of light and even without it.

I solo'd it with sunsinger. It's a pain in the ass, and I had to play extremely carefully, but I got it done.. [spoiler]After 3 hours...[/spoiler]

Did it solo twice just need a good sniper and find a solid spot to defend

I did it solo. It was so flippin hard and it took me multiple tries but I got it. Bladedancer with Invis helped.

I finally did it. Ran Defender. With Blessings. Suros y2 Eirene Quillums terminus QT did most the work. Idk why I was even using a Rocket to begin with, lol.

I have helped others do this mission for the TOM and it can be done with coordinated team work. Solo mmm that's a stretch but it wouldn't surprise me if someone had done it solo.

Solo'd it on my titan. Play defensively before the Wizard spawns, then nuke it with rockets while ignoring other stuff. You just have to kill that yellow bar Taken Wizard.

Doorway. Shotgun Sword Tap the boss with primary Sword and shotgun the big adds Save super for when the witch comes out Stormcaller is the easiest.

Yeah it's a tuff mission, I have it on my titan, not sure when I will get a group to do it and most likely store it for infusing since I have one already

If you're a defender, camp by the door and place the bubble in the doorway so you can relax for a bit. Pop a synth or something, easiest way to do it
