Have we gotten so sensitive that nobody is allowed to have any fun or do their own thing anymore without crying "but it offends [i]me[/i]"
This mindset is toxic. You aren't allowed to do anything you like anymore without some random kid saying "You can't do that because I don't like it too." If [i]the whole world[/i] doesn't agree with you, we just can't do it.
Forget that the [i]majority[/i] celebrates the holiday in some way.

2 RepliesCan everybody keep in mind that this obviously Halloween festival isn't 'Halloween' per se, but the Destiny universe's version of it. It's likely that a Christmas event would also be the Destiny universe's version of Christmas. So there's no reason to think about what this means to Christians, Jewish people, Kwanza fans, etc. So all of this is moot. This event isn't the Halloween we know, having no connection to the historical origins of it. The Christmas event would similarly have no connection to Jesus and all that. Moot. Move on.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have a 'Christmas' festival because it will offend. I'm saying we shouldn't have it because not all people celebrate Christmas. And to promote equality Bungie should probably hold a winter solstice festival, similar to the festival of the lost. First, because Christianity stole pagan beliefs and rituals to create Christmas. Second, because again, not everyone who plays Destiny celebrates Christmas. So it's not about offending or being offended, it's to promote equality of all faiths and beliefs. And third, because Christmas in this country is a joke, built on lies and marketing to make money. No one [b]actually[/b] gives a shit anymore, they just do it to make themselves feel better because we've become a country of ignorant, self-serving, dramatic bigots.

This PC shit has got to go. If it "offends" you, don't participate/watch/listen/actively seek the offending activity. Its a really simple concept most people these days cannot grasp because they are entitled conts. Nowhere does it say if x* offends this group you lose your right to enjoy and practice your x*. Well, in totalitarian areas it does but if you're for that then you need so much of x* shoved your way it isn't funny.

I don't think we should have a Christmas festival due to the religious connotations. It's good for a company like bungie to have know company religion so having a Christmas festival would be retarded. They could probably just loophole it by calling it the snowflake festival or something and I'd be fine with it. But if anyone gets offended by a Christmas festival they're retarded.
