Hey everyone I am curious if you're experiencing the same thing as I am...
That would be hitting a dead end on destiny. I feel like I am running out of things to do. Yes I have quests and bounties to finish, but in reality what're those going to do for me... absolutely nothing sadly considering every good piece of gear / weapon I own is fully leveled and to the point where 290-303 pieces are useless. More than half of my pieces are 307+ so it will be tough to get higher pieces to infuse. Yes I could grind on my other characters to say get all 3 swords, but why bother when I hardly use my arc sword and it truly is the only one I could see myself using in PvP. PvE I will never use the sword because my black spindle is too OP to not use.
I run nightfalls and get rewarded decent stuff, but everything is just 3 marks to me considering they aren't high enough light level to infuse and not good enough to main on any of my 3 characters.
I have love for Destiny and still like to play, but it just feels stale to me it really does, which is overall upsetting. I smash the raid 3 times a week and those are gone in a flash because we are all such high light levels and mastered each phase of the raid.
Please don't think I am complaining either, because in my last thought I explained I still do love playing destiny and enjoy the game as a whole.
GUARDIAN OUT!
The reason why this also makes me sad is because I am a youtuber who enjoys the whole content grind from recording to creating thumbnails. If you guys want you could check out my channel DMADDENGaming at https://www.youtube.com/c/dmaddengaming
Edit: Wow not one negative comment or post yet.... Outstanding feedback people!

1 ReplyJust take your breaks...play some Battlefront, Fallout, CoD, Assassin's Creed when they come out. That's the good thing about Destiny....you can get what you need after a while, go to other games, then come back when they have lost their luster.

1 ReplyI'm there too matey, at started playing a lot of other games and having a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to games like fallout much more now. I'm not saying I quit destiny but it is going on the shelf for a while. Sometimes good to have a break anyway.
-
2 RepliesTry eso if you're into mmos, lots of content, 12 man raids and proper classes that and the game takes skill unlike destiny
-
Yea, I'm there too. I was disheartened by TTK. Everything takes way to long to do, mostly because anyway to get your light level up you can't because no groups take you without the light level you're trying to get to. I play it mostly for stress relief. Don't do NF, Raid or Weekly anymore, just not worth it when people duck out at the beginning or middle. I'm an older player so my friends don't do the console thing and LFG now pretty much guarantee's a 45 min wait in orbit to just finally go do patrol somewhere. Y1 to me was 95% better than Y2. It was fun while it lasted. Still love the game and will still do my bounties and patrol, but anything else is pretty much a dead end like you say. After playing over 1,000 hour I will gladly admit it was worth every dime.

1 ReplyJust like halo online I played with my friends to have a good time. ,and enjoyed it. This game is over a year old.
-
1 ReplyI'm starting to, I've hit the point where everything needs either a group or PvP. I don't mind the grind as long as it can be done solo. Having to form a group to do so is just frustrating. ( especially without an in game LFG system )

Not in your boat by a long shot (not even close, lol, still haven't finished KF even, our clan just can't get the play time in, fall is a busy time for all of us) but I already decided after finally getting my first Exotic sword that I will be dedicating myself to mastering it. Only used it in one strike so far (Shield Bros) but after going full ham on the adds through that thing (so much so that the clan-mates that played that one with me were like 'Holy crap!', something no one ever says about my play) I want to become as good as I can be with it. So now my grind will be focused on what gets me more Heavy ammo packs so I can keep training and become a full-on Space Samurai. It's a meta-goal, and I have seen many folks trying stuff like that (Down Crota with NLB's, finish strikes with just Invective etc.). You just gotta find yourself something to strive for that Bungie perhaps isn't laying out for you, perhaps.

1 ReplyI'm there with you. Good timing for Halo 5 for me so I can play between the two.

1 ReplyEdited by CavScout00: 10/22/2015 5:59:52 PMInfusion and their stinginess with drops broke the game and made it stagnant. Y2 weapons suck for the most part. Gunsmith packages are 280 and most of the weapons suck so its a 2500 glimmer for 3 mark exchange. Iron Banner gear is 280 Exotics generally drop at 280-290 unless you get a rare drop. Nightfall drops still suck despite the patch. Most drops are consumables and gear below 300 Court of oryx is useless unless your on a new character and have never played the game before. The raid is pretty much a solid way to get 300+ gear to drop but most of the time its on par or below your current light level once your around the 305 mark. Most of the raid weapons are ok at best. Even with all the problems with the year one level system, its still better than year 2 in my opinion.

I still enjoy playing Destiny, but after taking a well deserved break I realized this game feels redundant if you don't play it with moderation. There are other good games worth playing and above all, other good things to do in real life.
-
Yeah they have screwed up by taking the old stuff away, it's kind of dumb them to think leaving the old in the past would be beneficial knowing the game lacks content to begin with. I'm sure they have a plan to bring the ultra hard mode on all the raids and PoE
-
Take a break guardian and play some of the great games coming out, come back later when you feel refreshed.
-
There are a lot of good tames coming out this year. Take a break from destiny and try some out!
-
Well it's a good thing syndicate is out tomorrow alongside halo coming out next Tuesday and fallout arriving on the 10th...
-
1 ReplyGo into the raids and explore; try to find something new. Bungie always has little treasures hidden but not all of them are found
-
I like to play other games with friends to balance it out. Rocket league, smash bros, and sometimes even guitar hero lol
-
I feel you man, some times you get burned out, try playing another game you enjoy, for me that's either The Binding of Isaac or Borderlands 2, come back in a week or two or hell, even a month and trust me, things will feel fresh again
-
1 ReplyThere's hard mode KF to look fwd to... Might help with the light level with 310-320 drops. Variety is the spice of life, so it does some good to step back from destiny and enjoy other things... hitting destiny hard day after day can get a bit monotonous at times
-
2 RepliesEdited by More Cowbell: 10/22/2015 4:35:32 PMI hit that point last night as I was painfully acquiring my third exotic sword using matchmaking on the last step. I'm thinking nightfalls and raids for fun and to continue working toward higher light levels, but that may be it for me.
-
2 RepliesI just wish bungees "smart loot" system would actually work, I'm tired of getting gauntlets on my Titan (I've gotten 6, 2 of which were from last night and weren't over 305) and I keep getting the damn shotgun at 305, I also haven't gotten a new primary from oryx in about 3 weeks and I still need the rocket launcher and a chest for my hunter. I would kill for some boots over 303 light and a ghost shell that's over 304
-
The only question I have for you on that is what did you do after you beat the end game in year one? you just played the game for fun, helped others, made stupid vid's, etc.... till the next big thing came out. then that answers your question, have fun with the game, make new friends( maybe these new guys/girls need help and advice from a seasoned player that's done it all.)
-
i wish grim score will give u small bonuses to everything kinda like borderlands "badass rank" example: 0.3 or more percent to gun damage, accuracy, reload speed.... things like that be pretty cool just saying
-
Get that Grimore up.
