Where is the front of the room when fighting Oryx?
My raid group fights every time about this.

Edit: I don't think I have ever read so many good arguments on a post. This is like debate club.
Edit: Summing up.
Oryx is teaching a class on a ship in a theater how to count to 4 counter clockwise while drinking a half full or empty glass of water.
Edit: This may have gotten out of control.

11 RepliesDay 1 when I first walked through the that mother f*cking door I did not see oryx or any sign of that dìckweed. I stopped and saw two twin sister wizards on the big middle platforms in some sort of sick sadistic prayer. When we realized the mechanics of this fight we established that the door we came into was the front because that is where we came in and there were two platforms behind the daughters, you know in the back from where we started. Once those two whòre daughters were slain we saw oryx rise from wherever and didn't think to change our platforms because they had already been established. What came first oryx or the door? The door. The door side is the front.

why is this so difficult for people to understand..... when you step into a room. you stand in the door.. the part that is CLOSEST to you is the front. the part that is the furthest is the back... when you walk in a room and say, i want this table against the back wall, wich wall do you mean??? across the room or the wall where the door is in?? if you need to give directions and send somebody to the otherside of an arena and you are at the entrance what do you say? mostly, it's in the back! I do get the confusion, because if you are at a concert the concerts are always played in the back of the area but people mislead themselfs and say the concert is on the front (because that's where it's happening). in a way this is correct, but it's not if you speak directions where to go to. still if you enter the concert hall the concert is given in the back of the hall. being at the front of the seats DOES not mean the front of the room, it means the front of the seating area (those are directed in a position so it's clear wich way is what just like a car is, it has a front and a back)... yes this can be confusing.

Everyone calls the orbs closest to the entrance the front. I do the same thing on Oryx. The first pedestals are the "front". I usually call them the first pedestals and the second pedestals.

2 RepliesJeez people - the front is a fixed point and where you enter has no bearing on the definitive front. The front door argument is just about the dumbest thing I've heard. It's called a front door because it is at the 'front' of the house. The door itself does not determine the front. If a house only had one door and it was at the rear of the house would it change where the front of the house was? Ffs

This is just me, call me crazy, but the area in which you walk into the boss arena is the "front" . Never understood the logic of the other theory's.

Next time I'm getting intimate with the wife in a certain animal style and I try to enter the back door I'm going to tell her its ok because once I enter that makes it the front!!!

Every time I form a group, we clarify this while in orbit. Because people generally have different terms for front and back, I just establish the new terms as [i]Door[/i] and [i]Oryx[/i]. Makes it very easy to communicate.

1 ReplyJust Rea the only right answer on another post. The door has no orientation to front or back. A movie theatre can have a door anywhere in the room. The front is where the screen is. Or the front is where your objective is. Simple and correct answer here
