You know what the problem with TTK is? No one wants to help anyone
How are people suppose to get experience when no one wants to help people out? Its like job hunting... "we want people but you need experience which we are not gonna give you"
Year one was good... everyone was willing to help there fellow man out... now its just full of selfish people.
Edit: Since posting this i have discovered that not all people asshats... so im not labeling the whole destiny community... just the elitist that forgot that everyone started somewhere.
Thank you to those that helped me through the raid tonight and those that offered afterwards... now that i have a bit of experience i would be glad to offer help to those in need of it..

Edit Edit: yes i have looked at videos... no i didnt expect to be carried. Yes i know about lfg. Yes i have a raiding party already who are unfortunatley away atm.

Everyone was willing to help at first because raiding was still fresh. Everyone wanted to get into VoG because of the loot and because it was the one thing you couldn't just do on your own. Granted not that it's stale now by any means, but Kings Fall has been out long enough that everyone who's completed it knows exactly what to do and feels no need to take anyone who's "progressing". A majority of players first run through was likely with their clan, while the randoms stumbled through it. Many players are just running through it now taking swipes at getting the helmet or wherever weapon they don't have yet

A mate from my raid team has set up a stream and helps everyone who comes in needing help, we run people through as long as they are 280+ light and have a mic, no worries if you haven't done it before as long as you listen it's easy and helps people learn how to do it, if anyone needs help his stream is SgtReaperTV :)

I don't have this problem. I have raided with randoms from the forums twice this week. I gladly help with the raid, however here are my rules 1)no yelling or bad mouthing (jokes are fine) 2)listen, especially if it's your first time 3)I will give each area besides jumping puzzles 4 tries before I'm out. I have more important things to do than spend 7 hours doing raid I can do in 1 hour with different people. If you are a dick, you will be kicked.

If anyone is struggling to find raids in Xbox one and people to help them I have a group of friends who need more friendly people to form a weekly raid/ nightfall fire team we're all from the u.k and very good just need a few more people :)

Get some friends? And play with them? I met a few nice guys online, and they all live near me. So get some friends is the best advice. Or go to lfg sides and be dissapointed.

sadly game communities as a whole have been turning toxic over time. the elitist mentality and "how does it help ME" kick in. I remember back in my UO/EQ days where finding people to help was as simple as asking in world chat. now days be it mmo on pc or multiplayer game on console the player base normally sucks. I try to help but sadly that gets taken advantage of. have had a lot of people i helped in the past go out of their way to ruin my game experience once they got what they cared for.

This is a problem and uts here to stay I am afraid. Lots of these problems come from teenagers and some adult people. The first group is still learning what is socially acceptable and what not. These kids have no example or guidance so they learn from forums like this or they follow the trend. Trying the fit in what occupies theis mind 90% of the time. The latter group often have poor social and communicative skills. Instead of explaining how a raid needs to be done or explaining what the other person is doing wrong they take the easy way out and don't help them. This is a problem which will stay around as long as these game are. Our group help friends of friends gladly. With randoms you never what you gonna get so to speak. We dont do lfg for this reason. If a person is prepared to listen to critiques and open to new strategies we help if we have a squicker or a sleephead who needs to be told for the 10th time jump on the platform we are done with him/her. I met alot of my friends on the tower in destiny...if a person is chill we raid on a regular basis. If not well....

Content is more difficult and requires real team work. There are quite a few people especially kids who can't do that.

2 RepliesI know how you feel too. Most of my friends don't help me in my quests and missions, all they do is brag on how good they are at the game. Gloating on how they got exotics that I wanted (still chasing for Zhallos Supercell) and don't bother helping me. They keep saying they solo'd it but I know it's BS, they got helped. .__.
