1 ReplyLol. The very first iron banner last year my clan mates and I decided to race sparrows around bastion and we all had 0.0 or 0.02 k/ds and I ended up getting a Gjallarhorn for it.

1 ReplyDid really bad after coming from outside with freezing hands making it difficult to play and I got the boots... Another day I was thrown into the very end if a match and got the iron wreath. Both times I was at the bottom, but whenever I'm at the top, I get nothing -.-

11 RepliesYesterday I joined a game in progress. We were down 4000 - 15000. 20 seconds, and Shaxx called mercy. I finished bottom, with 2 kills. Got the Hunter Cloak... No one else got anything.

Edited by Sanctus Michael: 10/18/2015 2:23:38 PMI don't think that makes a huge difference, it's random. I went "best over all" on a match and got 2 of the IB boots. One was 287 the other 294. The only other 2 things I got was Ironwreath and the Hunter boots (which is an exact copy of the NM faction boots with different colors) and I was around the middle with score for the team when I got both. I think it's the times when people are at the bottom and get good rewards that we remember it because we think this goes aginst "what should be" but we don't remember the times where the top half get good rewards because it doesn't stick out in our mind. Like red lights, you remember all the reds you get because you're in a hurry and it pisses you off. You don't remember the greens because it's what you want, there's no negative emotion that attaches to the memory and helps it stick. I've seen A LOT of rewards go to the top half because I'm aware of this phenomenon (human nature to remember that which is bothersome or out of what should be) and I make myself remember the top half of the team's rewards

I went into crucible after I finished iron banner, I got put into a game in progress with 1 minute left then got spawn killed twice then got eyasluna!

1 ReplyRofl, Mine did the same thing. When the match goes sour I stay and goof off just to get the medal and that's when it dropped. The loot system is so funny.

The only times I've ever gotten decent drops is when I perform like total crap.

1 ReplyIt's been a problem from the start of this game. If any of my group ever went really bad in a game it was a running joke that they were just trying to get gjal and not actually playing bad. Funny thing is it happened to one of them. Gjal dropped on a .5kd game at the bottom of the leaderboard.

6 RepliesI was doing a shield brothers strike with randoms and when we got to the final area, they both left after we wiped once. I ended up soloing it and got Treads Upon Stars as a reward. Maybe RNG waits for us to be in the worst possible position before blessing us.

6 RepliesDo you need a rank to earn rewards? I just bought my playstation a few days ago and I'm only 286 light so I avoided IB. If sucking rewards gear I could use some upgrades.

1 Reply5 ranks and the only drop I got was the -blam!-ing cloak. Had to buy everything else and none of it feels worth it. Questioning my life decisions at the moment.

I played so badly in one IB against a premade I literaly got 0 kills 17 deaths. On the reward screen I got ironwreath. Praise rngesus. (It rolled with horrific perks I immediately dismantled it so my eyes didnt bleed)

The game does consistently reward the people on the bottom. When exotics were dropping in crucible I never saw one that dropped for anyone except the bottom three.

I know its supposed to be RNG and all but I have noticed this too. Did pretty well with my Hunter through a lot of matches and generally when I did have a bad game I got better rewards. Never an event weapon but armor pieces in the 290s. The only time this didn't hold true was after my most recent game K/D 1.45 and a clutch victory with my shadowshot tether I received the wolfswood cloak at 296.
