Exos are said to have had their memories wiped the same number of times as the numbers on their names (Cayde-6, Banshee-44). It is also said in a Rasputin grimoire card that Andal Brask (friend to Cayde-6 and former vanguard hunter, deceased) believed that Cayde-6 was Rasputin. He claimed he looked at evidence and that was his conclusion. So what if Cayde-6 awoke Rasputin but Rasputin wiped his memory completely of it. Thats who you talk about when you say that Rasputin was activated by someone else. Also we can speculate that Cayde might have known he was Rasputin before even activating him that's why he did it but also willingly wiped his own memory. This would explain how Cayde got the codes to enter for the stealth drive originally and knew Rasputin had another code.

Edited by RockItMed247: 10/11/2015 7:49:45 PMCayde-6 knew were Rasputin was the whole time while everyone else was looking for it. He obviously had "stollen" the stealth drive schematics sometime before he became a Vanguard. Another interesting thing in the lore is when you go to the Archives on Venus the mainframe recognizes you as Dr. Shin. Is Dr. Shin any relation to the Shin in Last Word's Grimoir? Why does the mainframe identify your character as Shin. Is it possibly part of the different storylines for each race? There seems to be a mystery behind all of the races except Humans. It would definitely make since if the character you are playing was supposed to be an Exo that had been wiped. Exo lore and the fact that the same set of eyes were used to access Rasmussen for hundreds of years. Maybe you are supposed to be Rasputin and Cayde knows who you are.
