Edit- it is obvious you guys dont like biased opinions, now that being said I made this forum after I walked out from three rumble matches where everyone was using these blasted contraptions. Now you guys are requesting I change the poll along with some personal insults which btw you guys need to work on, you cant change the poll once it is set lol.

Tbh there is nothing wrong with them, the range is where it should be and the shotgun is optimal at close quarters combat. Why do people complain when people are going into crucible with mid to long range weapons aka, (Pulse rifle and sniper) against a shotgunner? People don't realize that they have no close quarters defense because the weapons that they use are not ment to be used for close quarters. If someone comes close with a shotgun you have already put yourself at a disadvantage if you have no close quarters weapons. Maybe people need to be a bit smarter on how they play and learn how to counter a certain gun type that there is nothing wrong with Stop complaining... Please :)

They cant (well they CAN but wont) retroactively destroy all the guns. Just wait for IB & ToO, no Y1 guns in there. all those people pissing you off will be off their game when they have to break out some Y2 guns they haven't playtested.

2 RepliesNormal crucible doesn't matter. Everyone's gonna be a cock just because they can. The people who use year 1 gear are two types of people. 1. Those who Don't have the weapons for trials and iron banner where it actually matters, and will be -blam!-ed. 2 those who may have some drops, but still choose to be THOSE GUYS in regular crucible, and they will still be -blam!-ed. They nerfed they hell out of shotguns, and if you don't use them, you obviously wouldn't know. Talk about a biased poll. I'm sure youre complaining about sunbreakers, storm callers, tethers, and whatever the -blam!- else you whiners enjoy whining about too.

No, shotguns are fine. What happened was weapons got nerfed altogether. So now weapons take longer to kill, so rushing with shotguns is very efficient lol.

10 RepliesI love how people say weapons are OP because they suck with them. Every single player had more than enough opportunity to acquire a good shotgun. If you keep dying to other people shotguns, it's because they're better at using them then you are. Quit blaming the tool for your lack of skill.

The thing is, it's not the shotguns. It's the mobility (sprint/blink/slide/shadowstep & invisibility) that makes them very strong. Also the fact that the opponent doesn't have any mobility at all while shooting, because of aim down sights. And to top it off, nearly all maps are close quarters.

7 RepliesThey could make light/armor/weapon levels matter in crucible. Why should it only matter in iron banner and trials? All the PvE activities we do require a certain light level unless your just doing the story/patrol. This would practically eliminate year 1 crutches.

2 RepliesI'm tired of being sniped by snipers! They need to be nerfed, snipers shouldn't have that much range and do that much damage!!! But seriously people, shotguns are fine, except maybe felwinters lie and party crasher. Most shotguns have awful range and can easily be countered by primaries, grenades, melees, fusion rifles, snipers, sidearms, heavy weapons or supers.

Replace them with a perk that increases range by the same amount but decreases fire rate and changes pellet count to 11

No they don't , they are very effective against Close-very close enemy's like they should be ... Sure there are a few that have a little more range but they also usually have a very slow fire rate or a smaller magazine .. I very rarely have a problem with shotguns in pvp

We should start with no special ammo. Special ammo should only come up at certain times in the game in your teams spawn area but with limited ammo as well.
