Will Touch of Malice become a raid requirement?
So I got Touch of Malice the other day and I love it, so I decided to use it during Oryx. When you have the immortality, you can use the final shot (which does double damage and never runs out) for as long as you want, so everyone can do high amounts of damage to Oryx. Do you think it will become a raid requirement?
Edit 1: 300 replies and lots of good feedback! I can tell a lot of people for want it but it may be good to use if you're the one running relic.
Edit 2: just wanna put out there that for all the people who don't have ToM, it is a very good and dependable gun. For those calling it trash, I can say with certainty that is false.
Edit 3: Jesus we're at 1100. Does anyone think it'll be extremely important in hard mode?

You basically get the ToM once you beat Oryx anyways and if you haven't beat normal before hard mode, that's a whole other problem.

Edited by NateOrb: 10/3/2015 9:15:02 PMProbably for hard mode but it will be like CE a few people say gjallarhorn only but if youre competent and your team isnt terrible it wont matter Also ToM is guaranteed so even if it does become a "requirement" people cant really complain that they cant get it(the whole gjallarhorn thing is actually probably why they made it a guaranteed exotic)

It may be a requirement. But EVERYONE has a way of obtaining it. Not like ghorn was.

Malice can not be beat for daughters and oryx. Everywhere else there are much better exotics

Crota kneels faster than it takes Ghorn to hit it, and atheon gets wasted in 20 seconds from Starr of DPS. Seen 3 vs skolas? Same as with atheon, 20 sec from start of DPS. Edit: forgot to put this in there, ToM has the most DPS out there, besides maybe Black Spindle, except for oryx. And no, Oryx does not have a crit spot. Those who say, 'well my damage jumped up to like 5k and I saw yellow numbers' yeah same has happened to me. A THRALL RAN IN FRONT OF YOUR MUZZLE. ToM has the highest DPS against Oryx and death singers, and it has the POTENTIAL to out DPS every other gun in the game with weapons and blessing, strictly because of the regenerating final round. I can see that when hard mode comes out, people might make it a little more restrictive than with just Ghorn. I can foresee posts stating 'Must be 300+, 310 ToM, and 310 black spindle. Must have ToM emblem on and Black spindle equipped', maybe even be super elitist and also include the sleeper simulant, when they find out how to get it.

Black spindle is better exotic for the entirety of the raid. ToM is nice for daughters and oryx

4 RepliesYes it will be a requirement for the public groups. Best weapon to use against the sisters and oryx. Their Is no arguement for this whatsoever, it is the best gun to use for the last two fights. I highly recommend you mute and ban anybody who thinks otherwise, for they are of little intelligence and have zero comprehension.

it, Malice, already is. But, too much of a good thing will spoil. Meaning, two Malice in fireteam is plenty.

I think for Hard mode, at least the first few times per raid team, people will want it. It's just too powerful.

It is good for sure. I raided with a bunch a new raiders. 2 of the 290s were using auto rifles to dps oryx. Being a 300 with ToM still made staggering oryx a breeze. I think I may have given them false hopes for dps, they are going to attempt the raid next week and wonder why they can't get the dps. I even told them they need a good sniper or mg, the only reason we succeeded was from me and they told me to -blam!- off.
