Look at what has been presented so far. Last year we only saw concept art and it's magically supposed to be ready in two months. I don't buy it, no game is ready that fast. EA really must be pushing Dice, I feel sorry for them.

1 ReplyThe only reason I'm getting it is for the split screen. You never see that anymore
-
Disney just wants everyone to see Star Wars become more relevant.. New movie new game more hype bla bla bla I can just picture Disney demanding some swort of trailer from EA and then EA screaming at Dice to make it... and there's some poor team in Dice throwing together this live action trailer we see like a college kid writing an essay the day before it's due.

3 RepliesNot defending the game, dice or EA(being a fan of the first two) but there have been decent games made in basically no time. Two easy one that come to mind are the original Overlord(1 year and some change) and Fallout New Vegas(18 months).
-
1 ReplyIt's going to be like hardline, great for the first few weeks then no one will play it.
-
1 ReplyIt's gonna be great- for the first couple hours. Then it's gonna get old until the expansion. Welcome to the future of gaming we have dlc
-
9 RepliesThe fact they were only showing concept art last year is kind of pointless. Fallout 4 wasn't even revealed until this past summer and is being released this year. DICE has been at work on this game for longer than one year. However, i do think it's rushed. Just doesn't appear to have quite the width of depth DICE would want in their game.
-
1 ReplyWell obviously. They want to build hype for Episode 7.
-
1 ReplyDisney is behind all this
-
Yes it appears to be another rush job.
-
Well duh. It's EA. Of course it's going to be rushed. It's even more compacted due to SW:FA being released in December.
-
3 RepliesI swear if battlefront flops, I'm selling my xbone, quitting console gaming for good, and going back to WoW
-
Idk dint plan on buying a star wars game
-
1 ReplyThere's splitscreen, on a game that looks pretty. :) Dice makes pretty games.
-
If the game is broke EA are -blam!-ed

2 RepliesOf course it's being rushed to take advantage of the episode 7 hype. It also explains why Dice left out some game modes that were staples to the original battlefront games. However, battlefront was always a Star Wars version of battlefield. Since dice has so much experience building those types of games I'd have more faith in them delivering a half decent game compared to anyone else.

1 ReplyIn all honesty can we say we've seen gameplay? I've seen everything saying "pre-alpha." PRE-alpha. I mean, that's not even alpha mate?! I've literally only seen Hoth gameplay unscripted a few times over YouTube, but it's all PC builds. I am under the conclusion that I won't see any finalized gameplay until the Beta launches. I'm sure this game will have little content and possibly a lot of bugs, but solid Dice gun mechanics. Oh well, I never planned on buying day one. 60$ isn't worth a game lacking a campaign.

1 ReplyI miss that legendary Mos Eisley Cantina level.Yoda destroys all .
-
What makes you say that?
-
1 ReplyI don't trust EA or dice.
any battlefield after battlefield bad company sucks.
-
Yeah it's rushed and I can assure you that it won't work when it comes out and fans are going to lose their shit
-
3 RepliesEdited by Moonman: 9/28/2015 8:45:53 AMIsn't the game still on alpha months before release?
-
Wouldn't surprise me
-
I've heard it's been developed for two years now. That's not much. Not at all. Even every Assassin's Creed game has a longer development time (parallel development in different studios). I will take a look at the beta of course and then I will judge, but still the low amount of development time put into it suggests that it will lack content and won't be very polished.

It's EA, to expect anything else is an excercise in madness. It will be rushed, it will suck giant hairy monkey balls for about 4 months and then they will start shovelling DLC out so people can pay more while they wait for it to be fixed. And you'll hear the faint cry of "this reminds me of Battlefield 4". Battlefront 3 should have been awesome. EA's recent habit of watering shit down so it's easier to swallow leads me to believe it's not going to be very good.

5 RepliesIt is being rushed, the game WILL be released near the new Star Wars movie release NO-MATTER-WHAT, your wishing on a PRAYER if you think this game will be different to Dices usual shenanigins.
