So why isn't the home of atheists and intellectuals taking any one? They haven't taken 1000 even.

Looks like having a Christian nation like America does some good after all

11 RepliesEdited by Face Mcshooty: 9/22/2015 10:49:41 AMI'm from America and even I can understand that Britain is vastly overpopulated. We have a lot more room for refugees than Britain and yet we act hostile to a lot of people who move to our country (especially the one that move illegally).
-
Also, even though Britain has a large population of atheists, it is a country steeped in Christianity; Sweden, the 85% atheist country has taken a staggering amount of refugees comparing to the other eurozone countries bar Germany.
-
Really! Have you seen how small our country is? You could fit us into one of your states and you want us to take in more refuges that don't understand what asylum is. Your supposed to go to the nearest country of safety not cross so many country's just to get here and hopefully live of the tax payers. I think you forget how many people are living here for free having there housing and money paid for them. I feel for Syrians but our country isn't the only place in the world so stop looking at us as usual and do more yourselves
-
According to the UN about %20 are from Syria, the rest,as you can plainly see as they arrive on the shores of Greece are young men looking for a better life, along with thousands of others from different countries all making their way to the home of free housing and benefits, the UK.these are mostly economic migrants under the guise of refugees, strangers knocking on our doors asking for money.the liberal lefties want to open the doors and I can only hope we don't come to regret this in s few years time when something bad happens.

2 RepliesBecause we are full. There are not enough houses for UK residents as it is. Would it be fair to let a Syrian family jump the queue for a house when people have been waiting a couple of years allready
-
1 ReplyBecause it isn't smart to take in these Syrians who some will definitely be terrorists and criminals.
-
2 RepliesI like you.

1 ReplyWhat those people have gone through, and still continue to go through is horrible. But fear and panic trump all and people do not like to see something so tragic first hand. Heads in the sand is usually the first choice for political leaders, always to afraid to offend the majority or voters. Every nation should be helping out, because face it, the innocents didn't ask for this, and nobody should be ok leaving children to starve, no matter how different they are.

Edited by Lii-Shun-Ra: 9/22/2015 5:06:37 PMWe're severely overpopulated for such a small island that's why when people say to close the borders it's because we have no room... we're not being arseholes there's just no room for anyone.
-
Because we don't care more land for us to take over once everyone is dead

3 RepliesNearly 60% of the UK is Christian. Only around 25% is atheist. Not that this isn't a shit post anyways.
