Do YOU want ALL your Y1 Exotics brought up to Y2 damage?
Simple question.
DeeJ said in an interview that he doesn't want us to look at our favorite weapon and consider it obsolete. I look at my Ballerhorn, Thorn, Dragon's Breath and...they're obsolete. Just a poll to see where the community stands. Bump so Cozmo can see.
Edit: Woke up to a billion notifications. Thanks for all the feedback. But you guys that say "Oh, well no because gjally never left my heavy slot." That's your own fault. There were plenty of decent heavies in Year One. You guys were too chickenshit to try them. Thunderlord and Dragon's Breath, in many cases, can do just as much damage as Gjally can, if not more. Especially post 2.0. And I don't care if Gjally stays in my inventory for the next ten years, I have a story with a weapon I love.
Edit 2: Seeing a lot of people being open to the idea, but leaving Gjallarhorn behind. In all honesty, I'm completely fine with this. Gjallarhorn is an amazing weapon, but it's lethality was ridiculous. As long as I can have all my other exotic weapons and armor, I'll be fine. Keep bumping and commenting! We've been trending for a while! Get Cozmo to see and comment on this!

I don't think they should bring all weapons into year, they should leave the powerhouses behind, but bring the weapons that never had their chance to shine. For example, hardlight, necrochasm, dragons breath, all PoE weapons, the weapons that were never great, but I would really like the option to use

I'm ok with them choosing the guns I use. It's more challenging for me I guess.

It has already been stated the remaining exotics will be upgraded "eventually", but not @ TTK's launch.

I'd like to see them all in year 2. Doubt ghorn will be the go to now. But I do like to have the extra variety of useful weapons.

1 ReplyNo galley is great. heavy machine gun rain supreme in the raid .the variety is great. using scouts for the first time and starting to like them bungie cracked it. no fatebringer I miss it but I don't miss rolling over mission raids and strikes because of it

I'm kind of curious to see how this all goes but the game is much harder now than it used to be. that's kind of a fun challenge right now, I'm not sure how well it will age. Not that long ago strikes were getting nerfed because they said they were too hard or took too long. Then the taken king came out.....simply wtf. Feels like someone bipolar is making the rules Either that or make year two weapons competitive. There just isn't a whole lot I've seen that can compete with the top tier year 1 weapons. All the try hards in crucible are still using year one. No real surprise why. If I play older content, guess what I use? That's right year one

No, because then that would just take one more thing to strive for. If all my exotics are brought up to year 2 damage, there would be no incentive for me to really get on everyday and get more marks, since I wouldn't need to spend them on anything.

No. I spent money on TTK to play TTK...with the weapons part of the price paid for. Not to use the same shit for years. Good players dont hang on weapons like they mean anything but another killing tool.

1 ReplyThe simple reason is stuff like fatebringer and vision of confluence will always be good. Bungie wants to progress their game and it's kinda hard to do that when everyone is just gonna upgrade their fatebringer as soon as they can. I do however, want to see our armour get ascended. It would help us personalise ourselves a lot more and would be easier then infusion. It would also let veterans stand out. I hope they don't do this though because U have dismantled all my old raid gear.

They should do that with all the old raid gear as well, make a hard end game repeatable quest to upgrade old raid gear. That'd be great and work well.

1 ReplyNo. I don't wanna use the same weapons for years to come. I'm rather enjoying the new weapons and actually having struggle a little with bosses. Instead of running in and destroying with Ghally. It's fun again.
