Skolas is just too damn hard now
Its not even fair, because now hes too -blam!-ing hard to -blam!-ing kill with 20% less damage and the fact they added a stupid orb thing and that burn shit. When it first came out it was hella easy and all those lucky people who got items to get to 34 early and have a team to play with, im really annoyed with bungie. They made it too damn hard.

What I recommend is go through it a few times see where his health will be when mines pop up remember the amount of health for when you go for the actual attempt make sure your fire team is actually ready for the mines and not have it just pop up when some ones dead, needing to trade within the next 15 seconds etc. What I see alot of people struggle with is when mines pop up they panic and its ends with a wipe

Eh.....he really wasn't a great deal easier before. I mean, there was a burn each week so he died faster, but if it was arc you were scrouged if you didn't get him before his minions showed up. In all it's really about the same.

It's a long fight that's all it is, just be patient, burn the adds then burn Skolas. It helps to have a Sunsinger lock and 1 bubble titan but I have seen 3 34 hunters get it done as well. Just go through the mechanics and don't try to over burn skolas.

God you must be awful at PvE. Instead of actually doing it, you just go on the forums to complain. This is exactly why you can't beat and frankly, I kind of hope you don't complete it.

He is definitely easier now than before patch. Day one player that didn't have a gally till 2 weeks before Xur sold it, and the gally-only mentality killed the Skolas fight for anyone that didn't have one
