The stormcaller subclass is the least helpful out of the new three. Before I get hate from a lot of people let me list the reasons why I think this.
1) Stormcaller does less damage than hammer of sol
2) Stormcaller has less range than both of the new subclasses
3) Stormcaller is extremely slow (blinks getting nerfed)
4) Does not support any teammates well
5) Not a lot of synergy with the perks
6) Only good for add clearing and voidwalkers already do that
7) In PvE it's useless so this subclass is meant for the people who play PvP most of the time
8) It will not be good for damaging anything bigger than a red bar
9) super runs out faster than blade dancer and golden gun
What I'm trying to get at is that this subclass is made for the people who play PvP. I personally think PvE is much more fun so that being said this subclass is somewhat disappointing to me. There is no way that this class can compare to sunsinger or even voidwalker in PvE utility. I've been playing a warlock since day one and don't get me wrong sunsinger master race is very true but to much of a good thing can end up a bad thing. Just having something that would be good in PvE that can DPS well would be a lot of fun. Variety can make or break a game and personally I like to have options haha. Just to remind you guys this is my opinion and it is not meant to offend anyone. I'm looking to see what everyone else thinks about this subclass compared to the other two new ones coming out. Have a good day guys and let's hope for the best.

3 RepliesOP says new subclass is good for clearing adds then says new subclass is useless in PvE. Makes sense.

the way i see it: nightstalker>stormcaller/hammer of sol.

Edited by TempusUsiku: 8/27/2015 7:47:48 PMHave you played TTK? Nope.

6 RepliesI'll admit it looks bad compared to sunbreaker and nightstalker specifically. However the sunsinger master race will be the best forever.

That's because they super-nerfed it due to it rendering literally every other Super in the game a joke. Like seriously, it was ridiculous at first.

1 ReplyA bad sub class will not make the whole character obsolete. Look at the hunters, we've found things for them in PvE to do for a year with their bad sub classes.
-
3) Stormcaller is extremely slow (blinks getting nerfed) 8) It does not seem fun IMO 10) It does not seem imaginative IMO -blam!-in idiot, will hunters and voidwalker be slow without blink? Dumb argument. 8 and 10 made me laugh, though you forgot satire tag For the rest, you have no -blam!-ing clue what you are talking about until it comes out

The warlock already has a support class though. The titan has one and now the hunter as well. It seems to go, two mainly pvp classes, and one for pve, however, all are useful in most situations in destiny.

Watch Ms 5000 Watts's old video on the stormcaller and you'll realize just how wrong you are.

Edited by Moot: 8/27/2015 7:36:56 PMI'll wait till I actually play it before deciding. Although it does look underpowered compared to the other two new subclasses.

1 Replylmfao I could contradict literally every single point you just made
-
3 RepliesDid you even watch the red bull crucible exhibition? Hunters are making good support. Titans are the objective protecting powerhouse and the Arclock seems to be able to flush out groups. I'm not agreeing with you one bit
-
4 RepliesNo whining allowed, you already get sunsinger
-
I think the biggest problem is Cozmo didn't have it set up right. I say wait to pass judgement until you get to play as one.

Titans FTW
-
10 RepliesYou have two other good subclasses just like Titans have a class that does no damage you can't complain too much
-
3 RepliesIt looks like it handles groups of mobs beautifully, but I will withhold my judgement entirely until I try it.
-
9 RepliesHave you heard of a class called hunters? Now you know how we felt for one year.

It doesn't it's just that in the gameplay you were watching they were damaging things so it doesnt.
