The stormcaller subclass is the least helpful out of the new three. Before I get hate from a lot of people let me list the reasons why I think this.
1) Stormcaller does less damage than hammer of sol
2) Stormcaller has less range than both of the new subclasses
3) Stormcaller is extremely slow (blinks getting nerfed)
4) Does not support any teammates well
5) Not a lot of synergy with the perks
6) Only good for add clearing and voidwalkers already do that
7) In PvE it's useless so this subclass is meant for the people who play PvP most of the time
8) It will not be good for damaging anything bigger than a red bar
9) super runs out faster than blade dancer and golden gun
What I'm trying to get at is that this subclass is made for the people who play PvP. I personally think PvE is much more fun so that being said this subclass is somewhat disappointing to me. There is no way that this class can compare to sunsinger or even voidwalker in PvE utility. I've been playing a warlock since day one and don't get me wrong sunsinger master race is very true but to much of a good thing can end up a bad thing. Just having something that would be good in PvE that can DPS well would be a lot of fun. Variety can make or break a game and personally I like to have options haha. Just to remind you guys this is my opinion and it is not meant to offend anyone. I'm looking to see what everyone else thinks about this subclass compared to the other two new ones coming out. Have a good day guys and let's hope for the best.

To early to tell

Even in PvP, this class seems questionable. I'd rather wear The Ram/Praxic FIre and bulldoze 4 or 5 Guardians with Viking Funeral Firebolts while Radiance + Radiant Skin is active. Stormtrance seems more like the kind of super you use while escorting a teammate into a firefight, playing as a support fighter rather than a wrecking ball. Hopefully Bungie just did a poor job showing off its capabilities and it'll fare better once all the final balancing changes are made.

Warlocks needed a subclass that didn't need to think about others, hell even about themselves and just wreak havoc. This is the subclass that lets you do that
-
"Storm caller sucks dick..." -said no one ever.....
-
From what I've seen the Stormcaller doesn't look that bad in either PvE or PvP, but I'm trying to stay blind so I haven't seen many videos either. We'll have to see when it comes out, but disregarding the super it should be decent with Arcbolts and melee alone.
-
Well until we get it we don't honestly know But warlocks have more armor then titans and a insane grenade they need to be scaled down a notch
-
As a super, it seems like it may fall short. However, the synergies and separate abilities seem way too good. Chain lightning on your grenades, grenade kills give melee energy and melee kills give grenade energy, not to mention the possibility of a built in Feedback Fence.
-
PvP to me is more enjoyable.... PvE is boring and way too easy thats why they're taking out trials it had the most success with the playerbase than anything so far imo.

I was actually kind of hoping tonsee a Healing subclass this time around to be honest. Like a Titan bubble, except longer lasting and not as a super. Wouldn't block damage but instead act like a sort of AoE medikit. Or have a healing bomb, like that one Stimm grenade from Gears of War 3. Auto-revives all people downed in a given area, and restores health and shields. It's be damn useful for things like Crota Hard, but would probably make the Exposure modifier easier than it already is.
-
Too early to judge. Play it first.
-
Sunsinger just overshadows the other two subclasses. Stormcaller will be fun, but it won't be the best in anything.
-
When you can float above enemies why would you need to clear them ;)
-
1 ReplyThe subclass has good perks. The super itself is lame.
-
Meh. Most of your points are either wrong or uninformed. It's not a pvp class. It's for taking out lots of enemies. Lots of synergy with its perks. Etc. All of that being said, I think it's the weakest looking of the new classes.
-
I like how people are already judging the classes even though they haven't played them yet. What a shame.
-
1 Replyno one knows if the supers blink is the same as the jump version. Stormcaller itself looks useful and extremely powerful. Especially in PvP since it's the first time Warlocks can run around in 3rd person now.
-
I'm just looking forward to having my abilities do more during arc burn modifiers.
-
The jedi come for them.
-
Have you seen it? You point the character at one guy and then it spreads to everyone else!!
-
I feel like you haven't even looked at the skill tree.
-
3 RepliesHow stupid are you? 1) longer range melee than voidwalker 2) modifier that allows you to use as a panic button, PLUS a longer range arc blade 3) modifier that allows you to damage enemies without even looking at them 4) best grenades in game 5) WAY faster than arc blade, dumbass, plus, it's not blink so it's not getting nerfed! 6) built in feedback fences Need I say more?
-
You're a fool for thinking there's no perk synergy.

1 ReplyEdited by iEddy13: 8/28/2015 4:13:00 AMTry using a bladedancer in PvE. Also warlocks already have a support class. Stormcaller is your equivalent of Strikers and Bladedancers. It focuses more on you taking down a target than supporting others.

1 ReplyEdited by Amazinite: 8/28/2015 3:13:48 AMPlease let this be a troll post because all of it is wrong. The thing is literally MADE of ad clearing. The perks synergies perfectly so that you can throw one grenade and take out an entire group with the chain lightning or pop your super to take out a ton of weak mobs. Not good for teamwork? It makes teams stronger! There are perks within the tree that increase the stats of surrounding allies and help the team out. And as far as damage, range, and mobility goes, that's really how the class is. Supers don't exactly need mobility in PvE anyways and the damage isn't for single targets but groups so it doesn't matter to compare it to the Hammer. And as far as how fast it's lost, a bladedancer without mask of the third man loses energy faster.

Edited by BlessTheMic863: 8/28/2015 8:05:54 AMIf you are running with a Nightstalker then have the Hunter tether the enemies and the Stormcaller wipes them out. Good add clearer, will be good in PVP and I have a strong feeling it will come in handy at some point in the new raid. Just imagine using it in the lamp phase of Crota. In my opinion Titans across all 3 subclasses are getting the most love from Bungie though. I guess Mom and Dad always have to have a favorite lol.

Hunters found a silver lining in Bladedancer with invisibility. Stormcallers will have to do the same. It's a shame Striker is pretty good in PvE. I wish Titans had to find a silver lining in their Super. "Fist of Havoc is really good for making long distance jumps." I guess at least Stormcaller will be good in PvP.
