The stormcaller subclass is the least helpful out of the new three. Before I get hate from a lot of people let me list the reasons why I think this.
1) Stormcaller does less damage than hammer of sol
2) Stormcaller has less range than both of the new subclasses
3) Stormcaller is extremely slow (blinks getting nerfed)
4) Does not support any teammates well
5) Not a lot of synergy with the perks
6) Only good for add clearing and voidwalkers already do that
7) In PvE it's useless so this subclass is meant for the people who play PvP most of the time
8) It will not be good for damaging anything bigger than a red bar
9) super runs out faster than blade dancer and golden gun
What I'm trying to get at is that this subclass is made for the people who play PvP. I personally think PvE is much more fun so that being said this subclass is somewhat disappointing to me. There is no way that this class can compare to sunsinger or even voidwalker in PvE utility. I've been playing a warlock since day one and don't get me wrong sunsinger master race is very true but to much of a good thing can end up a bad thing. Just having something that would be good in PvE that can DPS well would be a lot of fun. Variety can make or break a game and personally I like to have options haha. Just to remind you guys this is my opinion and it is not meant to offend anyone. I'm looking to see what everyone else thinks about this subclass compared to the other two new ones coming out. Have a good day guys and let's hope for the best.

obligatory UNLIMITED POWERRRRRR!!!!!!!!

My main problem with the thread is that something cannot become obsolete unless it was good for a time and then something else came along and surpassed its effectiveness. The Suros became obsolete in the face of the intial auto rifle nerf thus allowing pulse rifles and hand cannons to go uncontested. I cannot say the same about Stormcaller.

Edited by Shadowstar5N64: 9/8/2015 4:25:08 AMDidn't know you've spent a lot of time playing the new subclasses already. How'd you manage to pull this off? They can change anything they want prior and after launch of ttk. So who knows what it's full potential will be like.

Who knows, maybe there will be an exotic that adds even more extra melee range, and stacks with the perk
-
1 ReplyAppearently there is talk of a perk to double the melee distance, as if it isn't already insane.
-
Stormcaller is getting a day one update apparently. I saw this on some YouTube vid but can't confirm.
-
Like I said previously, can everyone swallow a fat chill pill and shut your fat pie holes. The only people that know anything about the new subclasses are the developers. We have no clue as to what new armor is coming out, besides what they showed us. I think all of the new subclasses look good, check back in a couple weeks for my expert analysis.

3 Replies>reads title >subclasses aren't even out yet? >wtf >come to only logical conclusion >OP is time traveling gaming lord >or just a fgt >probably just fgt
-
It's a mob killer crowd control sub.
-
"7) In PvE it's useless so this subclass is meant for the people who play PvP most of the time" I mean...obviously. What a fücking tool.

3 RepliesHow the f u c k do you know??? It hasn't even started yet.

Lets see -some of the perks are too good (more melee range on warlocks? ffs -much better at ad control then voidwalkers -works better with teammates

2 RepliesSunsingers blow. I main a warlock and fireborn is nothing but a crutch that you shouldnt have to run and the extra grenade regen isnt really all that great unless youre running praxic fire (of course thats just my opinion). Stormcaller is going to be great for wiping out adds and generating orbs for Sunbreakers to just beat down on the boss. Most people that think Stormcallers suck are probably the ones who are going to try to waste their super on the boss instead of prioritizing adds (note I said most, not all).

Well that backfired... Let's just wait an see shall we... You shall have bragging rights if you are.
-
2 RepliesDid you see the strike and and the court it looked like in my eyes that the storm caller was doing all of the work clearing and getting massive amounts of damage off
-
4 RepliesMaybe the exotic armors will provide synergy
-
Feel like the fact that self Rez is just so good in PVE and that Nova bomb with obsidian mind destroys everything is the reason why it won't be that good
-
If there are already 2 decent pve subclasses then there's no need for a 3rd. You notice striker & bladedance aren't really meant for pve either, sure they can be used for it but the void & solar classes are better
-
Hammer of sol does gg damage so not much else will match it, stormcaller has ionic blink not normal blink so it won't be affected by the blink nerf which will only affect weapon aiming & firing cooldowns after using it
-
U see them Zap people like 15 feet away how is that not good range
-
15 RepliesI could debate each of your points and beat you down in a tiring battle of words. instead I'll just wait till the new subclass comes out learn how to use it and then make ppl like you throw your controller at the screen when you keep dying to a skill you feel Is inferior . My motto is use what u want - I'll still kill you with the worst weapons in the game - making you ?!
a huge wipe
-
I believe it will have synergy with Nightstalker.
-
>Sees not good synergy with perks >LMAO >Leaves to go rewatch stream where they showed all the class perks.
-
Warlock already has two really strong PvE classes with great synergy with specific exotics ... But it's safe to say both aren't amazing for PvP in my opinion I've always played warlock and have played a lot of PvP and the amount of times I've thrown my nova bomb into a wall or not got the kill with it because it stupidly lifts you off the ground before you throw that space magic ... I soon realised how much better for PvP the hunters subclasses are after playing them recently and it really showed me what bungie have gone for with the warlocks new subclass and I like it
-
Yes, it's made for pvp. Just as Striker and Blade dancer are. Honestly, of the three classes, the Stormcaller is the best for pvp.
