It's how games like this work. You get better gear as new expansions come out. And you know what, if they don't add these new guns to replace your old. I bet, even if not this one, but the next, you will complain and whine that they aren't adding new weapons. Then cry that you spend all this money and they aren't creating and adding new things. Get over it and move on.

My honest opinion about destiny (Yes I know that no one cares about what I have to say) I started playing Destiny when it launched and I enjoyed the campaign the first time around I reached level 20 and soon realized that it would be an endless grind fest. So I went through the grind until I had a high enough light level to to VOG which was the most fun that I had in Destiny for a long time,but of course that only lasted the first few times through the raid. I soon found out vault of glass was a grind fest to. Now let's skip to the release of dark below and more importantly the Crota's end raid I had a blast learning how to run sword and doing the bridge legit the first few times but surprise surprise it was once again a grind fest. Months of grinding later house of wolves came out which I will admit was a step in the right direction with gear ascending and Trials of Osiris but the pesky grind factor still remained. Now if you've read this far you can hear my opinion Destiny failed at replay ability which is something I hope TTK will change I will be buying TTK because I still have hope for this game but if it fails as bad as TDB then I'm done with Destiny for good. Like I said before my opinion should not effect you and how you feel about Destiny. In fact I'd like to hear your opinions about Destiny feel free to reply and thank you for your time.

Its an unpleasable community. Pc mmo dlcs usually make stuff that was in the game relatively weaker. You do know the take king will have more content than destiny and both dlcs? People like you for etc cant be pleased. These forums was biggest mistake..

Cry me a river. This is normal progression, the fact that Some weapons can be upgraded is a Nice touch. They must do this Each Year. Or everyone Will keep using the same old op weapons. And that gets stale as -blam!-.

And buy all destiny dlcs N releases for only $60?! With a special light of my balls consumable to make you lvl 1000 instantly?

The 1700s called. They're pissed their muskets didn't get the full auto upgrade or damage boost our weapons have nowadays.

This is how a game like Destiny was intended to work. Once better stuff comes out people will use that and forget about their Fatebringer or Gjallarhorn.

Lol that's how mmo's work, look at the world of Warcraft community. Every time a expansion is released they're not crying cause they're losing gear they fought for. Hell they're looking forward to grinding for new and more powerful gear that even looks better. It's not about using the item, it's about the grind and the moment when it pops up on the screen.
