Its simple.
What all us year 1 players are going through transitioning into year 2 (losing valued weapons and gear that we grinded endlessly for) is going to happen again EACH YEAR.
Solution?
-Come back in 9 years
-Buy Destiny bundle that includes ALL dlc for only $60!

3 RepliesDon't speak for all. I'm glad for the changes. I'm keeping all my old gear (exotics, raid gear some other random stuff I like) only for the sake of collection. New stuff means more for me to collect.

3 RepliesWhy would coming back be a good idea? Then you would just be using year 9 weapons and missing out on all the cool stuff from years past. Destiny is a game. Plain and simple, if you like to play destiny, you'll like playing TTK
-
2 RepliesNew weapons will only be bad in pve and crucible with lvl advantages
-
1 ReplyWith that attitude, why play any mmo? Lol

1 ReplyWhy are you losing anything? You can use every gun you have until year 9 like you mentioned. Then little fella you take new guns and you kill new enemy's. You should be happy that every year you don't have to start from 0. And if you don't like it move your ass on.

Edited by orderofthetriad: 8/21/2015 9:43:05 PMThe average time spent daily by a Destiny gamer is 3 hours. The lesson is: don't obsess over getting every item dropped by a RNG system. The upcoming changes are good so that you can fun doing either PvP or PvE, still have a diversity of guns/armor, and a life in the real world.

1 ReplyHonestly I'm waiting this DLC out for the reason above you just stated.

4 RepliesPeople get to 10x prestige or whatever and don't complain when a new game comes out every year on CoD. Why are people complaining now? If anything it's better to at least have some progression.

1 ReplyI get why your mad but honestly if I have to use the same guns for the next year what's the point. Destiny is a loot driven game, key word there is loot. If you have the best stuff or top tier items from the start there is no point to play. Personally I'll be happy getting blues again because they will be an upgrade also when you have the best stuff you are normally looking for a handful of items and every time you don't get them you will be mad and feel you wasted your time. I enjoy playing and getting new gear is fun but using the same gear for a year has gotten old. Look at it this way you basically have a wall or blue print of achievements you can always pull out and use. So in 2 years people will wonder what that golden launcher is on your back and you can say sorry scrub year one only.

1 ReplyHooooow maaaaany peeeopple are theeereeee!? Jesus fu- This happens with all MMO-style games, wether it's RPG or FPS. So many games have been doing this FOREVER, and you're all acting like this is new. Even CoD was essentially making you RESTART everything once a year, every year. SHUT UP ALREADY.

2 RepliesCome back on year 9 and Bungie will give you everything for free. "But what about the loyal players who stuck it through the 9 years?" "Oh, we'll give them a new ship to say thanks for their mone- I mean loyalty."

1 ReplyDude... I can't take anything you said seriously... Sarcasm... Not sarchasm...

2 RepliesIf you are only playing a game to acquire a bunch of stuff, you are doing it wrong.

1 ReplyPal, think of it as in this game we are having a war (which we are). Now compared to this new enemy out guns are like muskets (No Land Beyond anyone?). These weapons are going to be less powerful, but then these new guns are like a modern day Scar-H. The moral is in reality and gaming, weaponry had to be replaced with designs that are more powerful ad effective.

3 RepliesI'm so glad you used #sarcasm and not #satire For that, you get a nice bump for not being a sheep like half the people on the forums that don't know what it means. :D
