Petition to nerf Xylar
Too much damage and to many ads. Can't focus on just him.

Edit: we reached 200. Good job guys! I think bungie might lower the health of the third head now, at least by 30%
Edit: we reached 400! Bungie will have to nerf Xylar now.
Edit: I'm starting to wonder if people are confusing Xylar with Sekrion or the Templar.
Edit: I thought this thread was dying, but we're back in business. You hear this bungie. Nerf at least one of the heads, okay.

Xylar is a joke. Just make sure you snipe his head on the left. Rocket the head on the right then when both of them are dazed. Go all out on middle head with everything to got. Really easy

Oh, I can help. The third head is weak against kostov, but has an insane health pool, and an over shield that can ONLY be broken by radiant dance machines 6 player dance party. After the first wave of super op mylar oracles, when the 3rd head hits the stun animation, ALL PLAYERS MUST DANCE. This causes xylars 3rd head to eat the other dead heads, and applies a random burn to his over shield. Pop that shield , and PUNCH him, with your kostov equiped. Does more damage than a gally on solar burn. And...boom! You get you upgrade mats for exotic kostov. You can cheese it, without dancing, but it won't drop your mats. He's gotta down to get up

20 RepliesI would highly recommend having at least three titans for this fight, ward of dawn is literally your best friend, especially once the second head starts it's enrage timer. We normally position ourselves by the Mars portal (left side) and alternate Titan bubbles as much as possible, once the ads start to overwhelm us we completely ignore Xylar and use our over shields to rotate to the Venus side to concentrate on Killing as many of the ads as we can. Once we do that we have a good 20-25 seconds to dish as much damage on him before he we are split up and teleported away. The two that are left behind (hopefully at least one Titan) can use the orbs scattered everywhere to camp ontop of the plate structure with bubble until the others get back, the random oracles that spawn can be killed with rockets by simply jumping up out of the bubble with glide. Two void shotguns help a lot for the praetorians, but as far as Xylar goes you only want to move into shotgun range if your confident you can finish off the second head during that phase of being stunned, otherwise he'll arc discharge and basically cause a team wipe! There are some decent guides on YouTube, my brothers' friends' cousin knows a cheese spot where Xylars' time sweep attack will disable your abilities but doesn't cause DoT to activate in your fireteam.

2 RepliesI was trying to solo the VOG, and after beating Atheon with my Year 2 "The last Ghallybreaker" and finally reaching Xylar, I was immediately kicked to orbit and got a message from an unknown benefactor saying "trust us, we did you a favor" :(
