I played after work every day but knowing it's all been a waste of time I genuinely can't anymore.

Dude, I know where you are coming from. It's like everything is about to change so for the time being it's kinda all for nothing. Going to play the shit out of 2.0 though!

I haven't played since about a month or so before ESO launched on consoles. From the moment I fired up ESO, I noticed a difference immediately. The difference made by a game with an almost limitless amount of content is amazing. Stepping away from Destiny allowed me to remember that games are actually fun. Destiny seems more like a shitty job than a video game. The developers in ESO, World of Tanks, other MMO's on the PC... when you get back into other games where the developers actually appreciate you playing their work, communicate with you, and don't treat you in the most condescending manner possible; it really opens your eyes to exactly how shitty ActiBungie has been treating every single one of their players. It shows you in stark contrast exactly how miniscule and pathetic the Destiny content actually is. I'm not sure I'll ever put ESO down. I flat out love that game.

Good for you.

I stopped playing when Bungie wouldn't hold themselves accountable for a lackluster product.

Welcome to the club

1 ReplyI don't know much about business but when you effectively remove the desire to play most of your game I believe you just screwed up.

7 RepliesNot sure why the woe is me status? The new TTK is going to have 18 new exotic armor pieces, a boat load of new weapons including a rail gun (of sorts) and new skill trees to complete the elements for our characters. Plus a whole boat load of new ways to engage with the game. I most excited about finally hearing "we've woken the Hive" with a new voice over. That alone should be worth the purchase of TTK! Yes, I was a downer myself with the nerfs to black hammer, Gally, and IB. Also, the thought of potentially loosing my Fate Bringer is concerning BUT I have come to realize that the game is evolving and from the sounds of people who have actually played it Like Game Informer, they all say it is a much better game so I will take their word until I can play it myself and not worry about something I can't control. Turn the frown upside down! Hahahaha!

Same here. For the first time I actually feel sad about year one. And I didn't even played the raids. I feel bad for the players who have to leave their fatebringer behind or only use it in the crucible. But you rarely see fatebringers in the crucible... Bungie should just add content and never remove it.
-
2 RepliesI felt the same way. Watched an icrazyteddy GTA video saying no more DLC for last gen, went out and got an XB1, GTA and ESO and forgot Destiny.
-
All incentive to play before TTK is gone. Nice work Bungie. Also, all DESIRE to play TTK has been nerfed. Again, nice work Bungie. Way to honor your loyal customers.
-
8 RepliesBig problem is there is no road map. Bungie is horrible at keeping the community updated so people get frustrated. They are slowly tearing this game apart.
-
1 ReplyIts weird but I have the same feeling. I just don't really feel like playing anymore. I have turned on my game the last two days and shut it right back off because I just didn't feel like anything was worth playing anymore..sad but really I'm starting to look forward to some new games on the way.
-
I have stopped too. 4 days I think now. The Witcher 3 has filled the Destiny gap nicely.
-
It only takes a few days and the addiction is gone. Knowing I'll have to basically start again does not encourage my return.
-
I haven't played for a month. Seriously, what's the -blam!-ing point? Shit ain't fun at this point, the rewards I get will be useless, content is stale. Unless TTK gets at least an 8/10, I'm not even sure I'll be back EVER.
-
I stopped playing after I bought Gally. Don't really have a reason to level it up. So until TTK releases I'm done, which is fine.
-
I went to the tower and was at Lord Shaxx to get my IB bounties and the second I saw the "esthetic" light I lost the will to play at all. I went and finished only one queens bounty and then just flipped over to Netflix. But hey I enjoyed The United States of Secrets so thanks Bungie? Haha
-
Yeah I've been feeling a little discouraged
-
Yeah. sigh
-
if you aren't having fun then you should definitely stop playing.

Edited by Gargoyles1: 8/27/2015 1:06:13 PMSame know how you probably feel deflated I bet I am moving on to a game that has more excitement mad max then prob come back to destiny.
-
Thing is let's say you ignore the boning we all got and put more time into the game. The stuff you then go to acquire will eventually be worthless, probably in three months, and even before that, Bungie will cater to the PVP crybaby minority and Nerf the very few good things into oblivion. The new gear sucks anyways
-
I feel the same... I only play it cause of a good friend... It's hard to get the juice to pick of the controller, almost anything seems more fun lately.

3 RepliesI haven't played since reading what's coming and their plans to quickly obsolete all of the Raid weapons I worked hundreds of hours to get with their online gambling system - I mean "RNG" and then the long-long-long hours of grinding and farming to upgrade followed by countless PoE runs for Aetheric Light to bring them all up to 365. Now those weapons will quickly be underwhelming when TTK drops. So much for creating a legend and building a story. Bungies plan: Buy the new edition and skip building a story/legend...

Sounds like you're just not interested enough in TTK to bother getting hyped, preordering, or putting any more effort into a game that effectively expires in 2 weeks or so. I would love to say I'm still fully engaged in Destiny 100% and it's all smooth sailing but I'm not. Instead I'm here being a nuisance lol
