The endgame dilemma is about to be fixed
Shit needs to stop. I'm getting too much hate because you all are only taking bosses into account, and not crowd control, which the Gally sucks ass at. Let's all go our separate ways. I'm going to try to delete this. Call me a noob all you want, because it isn't going to change one simple thing.
You obviously suck if you depend on that thing. Meanwhile we who don't will go and be able to use every other exotic in the game, proving our skill, and laugh when its useless against the new bosses that aren't bullet sponges. The purpose was to address elitism, and I see it's an issue that will remain. I'm ignoring this so I can stop saying the same thing, not because I believe I lost.
Also if you shoot the HoC from above you'll see how I got those 30 kills.
Edit: Damn necro. Anyways, I got a Gally. Definitely still a crutch. Two rockets to the Winter Kell and a couple of Pulses. Definitely better for a single enemy. Still prefer my HOC for clearing adds.

I just 365d one of my hungers last night. Why? Im flooded with light and it's the last weapon left. Not wasting 2 more lights saving them fot TTK for whatever I get for them

I don't limit people I play with to ghorn, dumb rule, once we beat skolas two thorns and one ghorn. Don't need ghorn for anything.

Dragons breath actually does the most damage for a full synth - provided the enemy can't get away from the solar flare :/ Truth isn't far behind gally for total damage either as it has 8 shots vs 7.

Actually TKK will render all current end game content obsolete as the legendary weapons out of VOG, Crota, POE, and Trials will all be underpowered. This creates an even larger issue with end game content. Bungie loves numbers they will see noone playing the other content and will be forced to correct the situation. As far as wanting all Ghallys or whatever....who cares people are allowed to play with whoever they want and if they want to play with others with certain equipment WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO SAY THEY CAN'T. Get over it.

I too have a problem with the people and yhier yally"requirements" I have 2 hardly use them but In no way is any other launcher anywhere near comparable to it I have gathered every one to test and compare. I dont use them to show things can be done without it. Valid point

You don't need a ghorn for anything in the game at all of course it does help get things done a little easier but for crota all you need is a tracking rocket launcher literally any rocket launcher whatsoever will do and you can take him down with a launcher if your really want and for skolas you can do it with anything you dont need a rocket launcher at all ppl really need to stop relying on ghorn so much it's so sad

Just avoid the scrubs that require you to have a Gally, if they can only finish the raids with 6 Gjallahorns then they suck anyway and you probably will be better off without them

Well technically the hunger is in no way comparable to a gjallarhorn besides tracking and the fact that its a rocket launcher but don't get me wrong a gjallarhorn is never required to do anything in this game I have never called anyone a name or put anyone down or told anyone the need a gjallarhorn or gtfo. I have asked if people have it if its not equipped just because it is more helpful when doing hard raids or 35 poe (even though I hate poe and haven't done one since the first week of skolas lol) but like I said its not needed. Its not bad to ask if they have it as long as your not a fag about it and call them names because rng hasent blessed them that makes no sence. In the end its not the weapon the person is holding its the person holding the weapon lol.

Beta/ Day 1 player here who has done everything this game has to offer without a Gally. Here's the way I look at it. I put my own groups together for raids and other things. Usually consisting of my friends, but if we need randoms, I personally seek out people who, like me, do NOT have a Gjallarhorn. Not having it to fall back on has made me have to think outside the box to get through sticky situations, relying on reflexes, precision, and quick-thinking. That's the kind of player I want to raid with. I am NOT saying that if you have a Gally, you are not one of the players I just described. I am saying that those who REQUIRE everyone on their team to have one haven't been forced to play the way I have, which in my opinion makes you a better player overall in PvE. That's all.

4 RepliesI lost all respect when you wrote that your hunger is more effective than gjally with Wolf pack. I go into any game mode with anyone, regardless of what weapons they have. The game is a social activity, not elitism defined.

3 RepliesPeople are always claiming about being excluded for not having a ghorn, I got all 3 characters through the Vault of Glass, Crota's End and POE without one, just got my only one about a month ago. You see people on lfg asking for ghorn so just create your own team.

Dude, it'll still be the best, and though I won't partake of it you will see that the problem will get 10x as bad with it being weakened. Now more people will require it to make up for this new power differential, thus leaving you even more out in the cold than you already are. So by all means, be happy about a worsening situation for yourself.

It's not required for anything dude, ur delusional. I've beaten everything there is to beat with and without it. Helped many ppl thru skolas who didn't have one with no problems. Skill is required (sometimes), not gjallahorn.
