Dragon Strikes Drop Legendaries Like Candy
Did about 20-25 (maybe, who's counting?) of these in the last two days and holy shit! I'd say 9/10 matches someone gets at least one legendary item. I think I got close to a dozen legendaries as a straight reward and another 5 or 6 from rare engrams. It's nutty.
I know for most people this is meaningless, but for newer players or idiots like me who decided to start over, this shit has been [i]amazeballs[/i], as the kids say. Kids say that, right?

I think it's great for new players! I have got some great drops recently with weapons, armour and the odd exotic! But the armour drops are great and have got some good ones for my lower level guardians. Plus I still think they are fun, dropping in with double shotgun, sniper load outs.

Yeah, it's a shame that I'm a little burnt out on all the Strikes in the game otherwise I'd be grinding the Dragon Strike list constantly.

Yeah, just yesterday I did 2 strikes and a titan got a Legendary engram and a FWC helm from the first one, and then he got a hand cannon and MFing Ice Breaker

Yes Bungie finally realised that dropping rare gear was silly as it's useless to you past level 20. A lot of people simply stopped doing strikes when the legendaries were hard to come by. You just ended up with a tonne of rares that you have to cart off to Rahool to convert into a tonne of junk that you then have to delete for a pittance of materials and weapon parts. At least a legendary will give you more parts and a mote of light for your trouble.

3 RepliesGood point regarding the new players, but even then it becomes obsolete very fast and degrades into a simple mote and weapon parts. The problem with this is the following: Initially in vanilla Destiny when the reroling was not a thing getting a legendary with good rolls ment something. It felt special and rare when you got a shotgun with shot package and hammer forged. Legendary drops back then had a meaning and it would be the same now, but that feeling got totaly neutralized by the gunsmith and the reroll option. Now the legendary drops are utterly useless and even for a new player. I think the gunsmith and his reroll function should be removed. Ppl will hate me, but I want my "rare" legendary drop feeling back from vanilla Destiny. When a decent roll on the drop you got felt special even after owning all exotics.

You can also play story missions on lvl 30 or lvl 32 to get legendary gear.

It did for me too until I got all the HoW gear then it stopped. Now I can't buy a legendary. Been like this for the past couple weeks

It's the illusion of diversity and people eat it up when the fact is, we've had these same guns since day one. They just have slightly different skins.

Yeah the drop rate for purples seems way higher than other Strike playlists, to me. I did 5 in a row the other day for the Invective bounty, and the first four times, one or both of the other random players got a legendary engram or weapon. On the fifth strike one of the other guys got a High Road Soldier AND a Plan C! I got nothing but blue rarity junk I'd already had dozens of times before. I quit playing strikes for the rest of the weekend after that fifth one.

I noticed that! sometimes it goes mad with drops, literially pukes legendary and exotics at you.
