I came at Christmas, and didn't raid until about three weeks ago as a 34. When Vault and Crota first came out, how difficult would you rate on a scale of 1-10, 1 being getting the Khvostov, and 10 being not quitting Destiny after getting No Land Beyond, shards, and coins from every nightfall for 3 months.

9/10 I did it back in October, so a lvl 29 with only 1 weapon at 300 atk ( my Suros) as a Hunter, and I was the only one still alive outside the portals, so I had to manage the bubble, opening the gates, and all the sups by myself

1 ReplyVoG normal- 5/10 VoG Hard- 8/10 CE Normal- 1/10 (just because I can't put 0/10) CE Hard- 6/10
-
Its still a bit tough on hard reguardless of your level. With the wrong team you could be many hours at it.
-
It was so fun and frustrating at first. Just imagine 28 and 29 playing for the first time with blues and maybe a legendary on one or two people.(still hate rahool for that.) But that was it do your job and if you're lucky you wont die and screw everyone over.
I remember being one shot by hobgoblins so many times at 28.
we should also start a new trend for the vets to go back to that painful time era of destiny. Start making lfg groups where you must be 30 or below.

1 ReplyHard enough to to where if you had more than 1 lvl 29 confluxes were pretty much impossible
-
13 RepliesEdited by MLG WeeZy08: 6/19/2015 2:46:13 PMThe hardest part was being stuck at level 29 for weeks on end...you new guardians will never know the true struggle...
thats why we kept pushing the bosses off the map 😉
1 ReplyGet down to a level 28 with 5 other players and run it at 30.
-
I think Atheon was easier back then because u could pick who u want to send to take down oracles and grab relic
-
1-10 it was a 13 Imagine being a lvl 24-25 playing vault with a bunch of strangers for the first time. It was epic. Hours upon hours of frustration. This is when you really learned to play smart and get your shots down correctly. I only played a hunter in the early days. I would go left for confluxes/oracles because I didn't know better. I just always go left. Little did I know that left was the Pro side. I got good really fast. Took a while for me to stop falling off the ledges, though.

Edited by WhitEWatchEs: 6/19/2015 4:45:54 PMI laugh when I see posts like "need to be 34 with gally for VoG." First time I did it on hard we had 28s and 29s, with rare weapons. It is still the best part of destiny.
-
Really hard
-
Imagine 267 attack weapons on level 30 as 29s almost exclusively.
-
1 ReplyThe jumping puzzle is still the hardest thing
-
Apparently you need to be lvl 34 to do it although it was done with lvl 29s and 30s
-
It was pretty difficult there where a lot of ways to cheese it though like the Templar but it was hard
-
1 ReplyIt was beautifully hard, the right difficulty for 6 people. Everyone had a job and had to do it.
-
Welll the Templar was eaasy and aetheon was easy till the patch then we all got rekt but the hardest part of it all was probably the gorgon maze or raising the spire to be honest ... The grind tho •~•
-
Hard. With a group that knows what they are doing now? Its easy. Get a noob in there that has no clue what to do about anything? Leave befor its too late.
-
perfectly hard and perfectly fun.
-
Well one of the first teams took hours just to get in
-
Hard as -blam!-, but it got easier after the first couple weeks, then hard mode was hard as -blam!-, but then that got easier a couple weeks later.
-
Vault of glass was hard but at least people knew what they were doing. Now more than half the people I go into the vault of glass with don't know what the -blam!- to do
-
If you went in blind and only 1 person knew how the mechanics worked, it could take hours, I can only imagine the sorry suckers who went day one with no experience.
-
Still hard cause nobody knows what the -blam!- to do! Every game I join, everyone is above lvl 30 but are clueless! Just don't get it.
-
people deleted their chars in order to have another try at normal VoG... if you ever played the story more than once you will know the pain they endured..
-
Let's just say that the first time I did it, it took 5 hours. Now that I'm level 34, it takes about an hour or two
