Should Xur sell Etheric light ?
for all those players out there that are having difficulty obtaining etheric light to level up all our legendary gear and weapons cos we just dont have the time to grind 3 characters each week to obtain enough etheric light to upgrade 1 character at a time, I think there should be another way for etheric light to drop for those like myself who solely play the PVE content..... before all you PvP lovers start hating and tell us to play pvp.... we dont like it , nor will will like it, so dont.....
Should Xur offer etheric light each week e.g max 2 per week for 20 strange coins each

I don't think he should bit I also think there's room for compromise here. Be sells it but only a certain amount WHEN he has it. Like other items he carries it should be random. Or, have a "special" package costing a certain amount of "x" to purchase. Once you get it you take it to the Cryptarch and roll it (like the exotic engram) and it could turn into 1 of a few different things.

Yet ive still managed to get a multitude of Etheric light. Just play the game and complete PoE, it's not hard dude. Edit: and for the argument that some don't have time to get levelled up, 1 lvl 32 PoE gets you to lvl33 (with an exotic piece). You can then play a lvl34 or wait till the next week and do another lvl32. You're GUARANTEED to get a character to lvl34 within 2-3 weeks by playing for around 1 hour each week.

My god... The only reason you have something to do on destiny each week is that you can only gain a set amount of etheric light per week... Basically 2 from Poe and 2 from packages... Plus you can get extra from Mercury. That's loads, what possible reason would you need more than that per week!?????????????

100 % no.Before HOW we had to grind for hour's to get shards and energy to upgrade our rank and weapon's but yet you new people want everything handed to you on a plate.

12 RepliesWhy should Xur not sell etheric light? He sells Exotic shards...as a matter of fact he has always sold exotic shards.... How does someone else buying anything from Xur effect how you play the game? If you want to grind for etheric light, grind for it, if you want to spend 25 strange coins on etheric light go ahead it is personal choice. Since the game has no trading, what someone else does has no effect on your character at all, other than the "I earned my....." mentality.

Maybe he gives you a etheric light bounty. It would have around 4 stages and could only be picked up if you spend a certain amount of notes/strange coins.

No. Etheric light should be way more rare than it is imo. Etheric light is extra. The equivalent of raid gear in HoW is PoE/trials gear. Etheric light is extra, and shouldn't be nearly as common.
