It's funny that the DLC aimed at providing both a PVP and PVE activity for a small group of 3 doesn't include matchmaking beyond the entry-level PoE. I've got a few friends on xbox live that still play Destiny, but they're usually done with their weekly runs by the time I can play (the weekend).
So basically the only thing new in HoW for me is try to farm a surprisingly rare treasure key, and should that happen I can do the entry level PoE and crack open the main chest. So far no keys though, so guess I'm relegated to doing daily bounties and hoping to find a key.
It's been said, time and time again, that Bungie believes in forming your own groups. But there's a vocal majority who seem to think otherwise. And for Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders, it seems outrageous to not offer matchmaking.
So in short, thanks for the new add-on, but it's very likely the only thing I can do is level 28 PoE. My friends have either given up on Destiny, or completed everything long before I get time to do an activity.

DeeJ says, "We care." I'm calling his bluff, they don't care at all and HoW is proof of that. HoW is proof that Bungie hasn't changed their stance on matchmaking one bit. There is no raid and they can't even add matchmaking to all of the activites in the new DLC. Too bad for Bungie everyone is getting sick of this. They have actually been gathering a lot of negative media attention from Frobes and IGN recently over matchmaking. The community has stepped up and Bungie is just not listening.

3 RepliesI want Bungie to add matchmaking as an option when selecting your destination, only because people are asking for it. However, I don't think that is going to solve the problem. Random matchmaking, more often than not, will pair you up with people are not desirable to play with, and the content the community desires matchmaking for requires clear and frequent communication. I recommend that those looking for more players seek out a large Destiny clan that shares the same values as you, per their profile, and team up with them in game. They are out there, and though I don't claim to be a representative sample, I have no shortage of Destiny players each evening I play. The forums and clan platform is there, and I think it's remarkably underused. Just some food for thought. I would also think an LFG tool within the game, accessible at the 'social spaces', would go a much longer way than randomized matchmaking.

2 RepliesYep the guy on Forbes writ up a pretty solid piece on it recently. Matchmaking is 100% necessary. Considering only 1 part of the 32, 34, 35 will ever require tactics. Tactics which WILL NEVER CHANGE after you beat him once. When you learn to jump on Urrox, it's simple, to kill the Eye, kill white Servitors, etc you will never need more than the free mic and a YT video lol. Simple stuff that Bungie fail to see every time which is why they are seeing yet another expansion fail to be a big hit.

5 RepliesEdited by Azreal80: 6/2/2015 3:20:15 PMAgreed. This is becoming the biggest gaming blunder and joke in the community. IGN and Forbes are laughing at it. Bungie looks like idiots. They are closing doors to players. Anyone think Ubisoft will make players use some outside fan made LFG website to play the division. Hahahhaha. What a joke. I can see it now. Star Wars Battlefront: "We find you the Sith, you have to go find some Jedi to help you" Welcome to Star Wars battlefront. The huge online multiplayer shooter. To start: Create a Jedi Pause the game Turn on a nearby laptop or tablet Connect it to the interent Go to www.findajedi.com or www.SithLFG.com Search for fellow Jedi Wait 3 minutes Find a Jedi that also has GjallaLightsaber Send them a message on the website Wait 10 minutes for a response in game Send them a friend request Join them on the battlefield And then be disconnected from the game Star Wars Battlefront !!! Coming 2016 (Internet, laptop and tablet sold separately, EA will not be responsible for any issues with outside websites and does not endorse such sites as www.findajedi and www.SithLFG , players assume all responsibility for finding matches and fellow players, EA is not responsible for any negative interactions players have while on outside websites, internet and websites fees are not included in game price) Wake up Bungle. You are looking pretty dumb.
